We are renting a condo in a brand new building in Port Moody (move in date- 2021) and I’m so grateful we didn’t buy it. Noise canceling is a joke! You will hear your neighbours talking, sneezing, walking, and having a great time in the bedroom. Walls are made of paper - and living here is tiring. Can’t wait to move out. Do not buy from this developer!

Moved in new building in portmoody, 0. Delayed and delayed and delayed and delayed. And i would understand if it they built perfectly and right.. i had more than 9 lists of fixing problems when I experienced first walk in with no doors and no window closure was installed. 1. Their entire heating system doesnt look like they are working, it changes to other mode byitself, and you do not feel any different between other modes. 2. Fan system is worst, you cook in home like grilling a steak with fan maxinum on, your alarm will scream in 2 min and you have to blow the alarm system with paper to make it calm... omg... every 15sec probably. 3. The journey to the parking lot, there are 7 floors undegournd for parking p1to p7 , but the roads are too narrow that i have to stop if i see a car xoming from another direction and wait untill the car is coming first .. or me first.. it takes forever if i run into 10 cars.. 4. There is gym and rec floor above us and omg we can hear it...isnt it misconstructed? 5. Window door to balcony is tillted and wind is coming from there.. need to be fixed and it will take probably forever to repair.. like before when they built this buidling I am writing this because i am so mad and have nothing right now because elevator is in trouble, so i am stuck in this floor more than 30 min now

Yea, pretty disappointing. First of all, I bought 2 units with them in the downtown area. During July walkthrough, we identified many issues and submitted a service request online. Surprisingly, the issues were not fixed upon my possession date, and had not been fixed 2 months after my possession date. I had to email customer service and told them if they did not fix the issues before the tenants' move-in date, I would take necessary legal actions. Then, they started acting like they cared so much all of a sudden. Next, for some reason the lock of the door was broken, and Marcon customer service team told us to pursue the service of a local locksmith company and would then reimburse us for the fee, however, I have not received that cheque after more than 2 months. Lastly, the washing machine and the dryer in one of the unit were not functioning. The unit remained empty since Sepetmber 21, 2021 and the tenents moved in on December 01, 2021. The tenaunts tried to contact Marcon customer service team for this issue. Ironically, the response they got was that " It's not our responsibility, you should contact the merchant for service". I am not trying to hold Marcon responsible for the faulty machines, but isn't it your responsiblity to deliver a functioning washing machine upon possession date? I mean the least you can do is to faciliate this process rather than merely attributing responsibilities. One thing I do like to point out is that, Marcon customer service manager, Tricia, did help me look into the issues and I really appreciate it, however, things are still stagnant. In conclusion, I would never buy from this developer ever again. For those who are considering to buy, you may need to do some research for yourself prior to putting down a deposit because you may just end up being in my shoes.

My first time home buying experience was truly disappointing. Here's why: 1) There was a 1 yr delay in possession, which is very conveniently blamed upon COVID by a lot of developers. So I will let this pass. 2) My unit was supposed to have a walk-in shower but they goofed it up and put in a tub instead. 3) I have moved-in since 1st week of November 2021 and the central heater hasn't been working ever since. They have no solution or timeline on getting this fixed. IT has been a huge inconvenience for our entire family since I have a toddler and the space heaters that we have had to buy and use instead are drying up the air so much that my son and my husband have had a bad cough and sore throat since a month. It has been getting so worst that we have to seek urgent medical help for him. REALLY DISAPPOINTING.

Very poor customer service and horrible company to deal with!! Moved into 567 Clarke building on Nov 15th and our heating never worked until February 18th! That’s over 3 months without ANY heating at all, especially during our record breaking winter months (our in-suite temps were 15c-17c for several weeks). Repeated calls, emails and messages to them have gone unanswered. All we were provided with were 2 small space heaters, which would barely even warm up a room, let alone a large 2 bedroom condo. On top of this, our circuit breakers would keep tripping if we tried to use any appliance whilst the two heaters were on. This caused significant inconveniences to us, since I work from home on my desktop computer and constantly losing power. After months of this going on and huge hydro bills, they finally offered to compensate us, but after sending our bills to them, we finally just received a reimbursement cheque, but for only about 70% of what was promised. Don’t get me started on the amount of other deficiencies we’ve had to deal with since moving in and the fact that after a year long delay in completing the building, that many things were still not completed in common areas, yet we were given the green light to move-in and were being charged strata maintenance fees since day 1 (before we even moved in)! Also, having 3 elevators for a 49 floor building is pathetic, and for the majority of the time atleast 1 elevator has been out of service for the past couple months, so it can take me 10-15 minutes on most days just to go up and down to the lobby or parkade. Marcon is not accountable nor reliable and urge everyone to AVOID any Marcon development and choose to buy something from another developer that actually provides good workmanship and customer service.

HVAC hasn’t been working since we moved in on Dec 15 2021. Tried contacting Marcon customer service rep a few times but they stopped responding after Xmas 2021. I would like to thank Marcon for the great experience for me, my wife and my 2yrs old daughter that we managed to survived the coldest winter without a proper heating system. I also can’t wait to see our hydro bill after cranking up that mf portable heater all day long throughout the week. Thank you Marcon, you can continue to ignore my service request. I am loving it.

The HVAC of the brand new condo they just built is not working for more than one month and Marcon doesn’t even know how to fix it. All they did was providing a small space heater. When I asked about timeline, they said they don’t even know how long is gonna take so just wait. It’s winter and snowy outside. Awesome job.

Had high regard for this Developer before actually moving in. Went downhill immediately after. In-Suite heaters don't work and have not been for 2 months during coldest winter days. Just got hung up on over the phone from a very unprofessional and flustered "Shannon P" Marcon Rep talking about "normal wear and tear" when I've been living here less than 60 days. Expects you to clean common property being the balcony when the dirtiness persisted before I even moved in. Service guys just come knocking on your door whenever it's convenient for them and not at your talked about appointment date/time. On a nice note though, the trades person coming to look at the defects inside the unit was very kind. You'd think after spending half a mil there would be some standards. Overall very disappointed, look elsewhere if your thinking of purchasing to live
