★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sharon and Bill are an absolute gem. After spending a week on the shuswap we thought we knew what a great time in the interior of BC was. We were thankfully mistaken as Mara station on the river here is a beautiful spot. Everything was extremely clean and tidy, everything is very well equipped. Every morning we wake up at Mara station is a new gift. We will definitely be back, probably every year.

Absolutely everything you could possibly need is provided in this home away from home. It’s all in perfect working order, comfortable, clean, quiet and oh so very beautiful. I loved using the kayaks to explore the river. I loved exploring the local shops and flea markets. I especially loved that spectacular thunderstorm. Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mara Station Vacation Cottage is a bit of heaven on earth! Sharon and Bill are the most amazing hosts and have thought of anything you might need before you even know you need it. The cottage is immaculate from the tasteful, cozy decor to the gorgeous fluffy towels and the delicious and inviting linens on the super comfortable bed. The kitchen is so well equipped one could easily cook a gourmet meal and host a dinner party and there is a bbq if you're into grilling. A shelf full of books and a cabinet full of board games are waiting for you if you just want to relax. If you're more into adventure, the Shushwap River is right at your doorstep for swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding or just bird watching.
This is our second stay at Mara Station and we can't wait to go back. This is one of the most beautiful spots you can hope to find. Perfect for a family vacation or especially a romantic get-away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful hosts Sharon & Bill made our stay very enjoyable, with all the amenities needed to make it most relaxing. The setting of this property by a quiet peaceful river and beautiful surroundings made for great bird viewing (swans, cranes, ducks and of course the geese:). It is a pleasure to have met you both and we look forward to staying at Mara Station Cottage again:)
