The Westview Beach Villas

Great spot, great view, nice beach

PROS: The cottage is basically on the beach, so that's a big positive. Its a relatively private and secluded part of the beach, so a good place to relax. CONS: The cottage itself was small, very run down, and bug infested. The bugs really drove me nuts! This place was a one step above camping, however if you're used to luxury accommodations, this is definitely not the place to be. It was perhaps the latter perspective that made this trip somewhat disappointing. If you're looking for something relatively cheap, and ready to rough it out a bit, then this will do the trick. If you're looking for comfort and luxury, then go elsewhere.

Great place for the family.. nice, clean and updated and love the fact that we were so close to the beach. Only wish the bedside shelves were a bit bigger for my CPAP machine to sit on... looking forward to returning in 2022..

First time staying and had an amazing time. The beach, the facilities and the owners are all top notch. Made our family summer getaway, so awesome, we may make this our yearly tradition. Can't say enough good things. If you are looking for a great family beach vacation, this is the place.

We just returned from a vacation at The Westview Beach Villas and what a wonderful time we had! We had never been to the Sauble Beach area and were amazed by the incredible beach, beautiful sunsets, and peaceful environment. We rented one of the older cottages in the middle row. It was very clean and smelled freshly sanitized upon our entry. The basics are provided in the kitchen, and you can bring anything extra you need, lots of cupboard space. The fridge worked very well and was clean. Brand new BBQ, brand new mattresses, new TV and DVD player. The porch with a view of the beach was perfect for a morning coffee or watching the sun go down after a fun day spent on the beach in the sand. The water was shallow which was great for our kids, they had a blast swimming and building lots of sandcastles. The hosts were always nearby and happy to lend a hand or provide assistance. We had our own private fire pit, clothesline and picnic table. You can purchase firewood at the trading post located next door. We peeked at some of the villas that are currently being renovated and they look absolutely beautiful and have air conditioning, which the older cottages do not have.That being said, we were comfortable at night without air conditioning as the lake breezes as night cool off the cottage very well if you leave the windows open. I would recommend for families and people who enjoy the peace and quiet. We can't wait to go back!!!

My husband, 16 month old and I stayed at the Westview Beach Villas over the Canada Day week and we honestly loved it! The cottages are clean and cute. Perfect for a getaway. We stayed in #7 Storm Watch and it was great. Amazing view of the sunset, beach access within steps and enough room for my toddler to run around. We were able to have a couple of fires, check out the town of Sauble, enjoy the beach and really relax. Melissa and Chad are great hosts and clearly love what they do. We are so excited to return next year and maybe check into one of the gorgeous new villas!

New owners and new housekeeping staff for the 2020 season. Very professional and friendly with lots of new renovations and upgrades including new mattresses with covers and new BBQs. Cottage was clean and sanitized upon our arrival and for a cottage right on the beach seconds from the lake and trading post, it was priced accordingly. If you want a luxury cabin and the best of the best than look elsewhere and pay more but if you want a cabin right on the beach that is clean with all your basic needs than this place is perfect. Are you here to enjoy the sunny beach and beautiful scenery or are you here to watch television in your cabin? We will most definitely return in the future.

I can’t wait to book again. Spent a wonderful weekend here and had such a fabulous time in the gorgeous cottage, on the amazing sunset-facing waterfront, and strolling through a sunny beach-town; always a treat to find an authentic beach town! We stayed in cabin #2, one of the newer 2-bdrm renovations. It is so perfectly appointed and so stylish, kind of a Scandinavian vibe in its clean design and welcoming warmth! BUT, I did get a peek at an older, larger, pre-Reno cottage and I absolutely want to come back and stay in an older, rustic cabin too! Very family friendly, security-patrolled water-front, and it was all just so deeply comfortable. Will definitely, definitely be back! Thank you to our wonderful hosts Melissa and Chad!
