Mapleleaf daycare, preschool and education centre - Calgary

It is a difficult thing to write a negative review but we feel it necessary to save other parents from a poor experience and perhaps implore the facility owners to retrain their director and teachers. We will not be able to recommend this daycare to anyone due to a multitude of reasons. They do not, overall, seem experienced in managing kids or dealing respectfully with parents. Our pre-authorized debit authorization was misused and we were debited fees for more than two months in the first month. Which really caused us issue for our monthly budgeting of household expenses. A few days later, 80% of those wrongfully charged funds were returned but the process to deal with the director for this kind of issues is excruciatingly painful as Ms H was rude and unwelcoming. We had to visit multiple times for resolution of any concerns/ issues and were treated with disrespect. The rest of the wrongfully charged fees were returned later with the security deposit when we took our kids out after the first month. Getting the full deposit back was also another issue even though we gave notice of one month within 48 hours of enrolling. In the end, after a lot of struggle and painful communication with the director, we got it back for which we are thankful to the accountant Mr A. Getting a receipt for any transaction or getting a signed copy of the registration forms is also an impossible task at this facility and requires a lot of headache and is futile effort as we found out. The director at this facility is definitely a person with dual personalities as she was nice and cordial before we enrolled the kids but dealing with her in next 30 days (which we completed for sake of notice period) was one of our worst experiences in Canada. We will try not to go into details of all the incidents here to keep it concise (for now). The consequence of this kind of behaviour is that it has a trickle-down effect on rest of teachers. Teachers that we dealt with were also very rude and we cannot imagine how they deal with the kids. One of our kids came home with a cut as they handed scissors to kids who never used them and left them under-supervised. After requesting for better supervision to director, the teachers became much more abrasive as they seemed to consider the feedback to be unacceptable. Overall, we were very unhappy with this place and found a new place which is so much more caring to the kids and respectful to parents. It is worth the 15 mins drive. I have records of all interactions with dates and will update the post if our honest review is disputed.

Mapleleaf daycare is a very safe and loving place for kids. From the owner to all employees, everyone is super polite and thoroughly professional. Highly recommended as a safe,secure and loving place for children.

I’m totally disappointed with MapleLeaf daycare. I took my son to the day care and after 2 days, they told us that they no longer keep my son in their daycare. Then they charged me $500 for two days. Only they do care about their money, not the Community’s children. Not recommendable.

Maple leaf daycare is fantastic daycare. I leave my child at that center and I'm 100% sure he is safe and secure. The office and the staff are very welcoming and helpful people, and my child is happy.

I really like this daycare . My baby girl is over their from a month. In starting it was very hard for me to leave my baby but after some days she was totally fine. Daycare staff and director is so nice . They are so cooperative.They take care of my child very nicely and keep me updated with the himama app. I recommend this daycare.

Maple leaf day care is absolutely incredible for my two kids .They have been going there more than a year .Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way . Director and management they are really nice and committed to provide a safe ,fun and loving environment. I am happy for their efforts and service towards the little ones.

My daughter went to Mapleleaf daycare a for few months during the lockdown. The caregivers were great! My daughter loved going here and loved the staff. They helped with her online school and went above and beyond what was expected! I definitely would recommend it. The manager was so helpful in filling out forms and kept me up to date with the changing situation.
