Maple Gardens - Edmonton

I moved in that place, but I found out that the apartment that must be ready to lease was infested of bed bugs. My poor child was bitten by many of them. We had to moved in another place again asap cause of those bugs. I saw negligence on the part of the office staff. In my opinion a really bad service. I will not going to take another apartment with them.

Cockroaches, bedbugs. Fire alarm randomly goes off all the time. Laundry machines broken all the time, there's 24 units in each apartment, 2 washers and 3 dryers shared. That isn't a problem that's enough laundry machines, but most of the time 1 of the washers aren't working, and 1-2 of the dryers don't work. Went in to talk about the laundry machine issue, and all they said was "it's not our problem it's coinmatics, you need to call them". One time a laundry machine was broken for a whole year. 1 bust in the time I was liveing here in one of the units down the hall from me. Swat was here, they had dogs and a guy screaming and yelling in the unit for the dogs to get off him. After the people were evicted, plenty of sketchy people were hanging out around the apartment. One time my oven broke and I couldn't bake food and it took maple gardens 2 months to get us a new stove, we were calling them almost every week about it. had to buy a toaster oven to bake small things for the mean time. Carpet flooded, and maple gardens didn't even bother to re-attach the carpet, this was do to an ancient valve not being replaced on the radiator in forever. In their defense we never called to remind them to reattach the carpet, but they also randomly came into our apartment while we were gone, we came home to a big fan drying out the carpet from underneath, confused, with no letter explaining what had happened. Later that night a maintenance guy came to tell us what had happened. The carpet still isn't re-attached. Construction going on every summer and the place is covered in mud, machine noise all day, if you work it's not to big of an issue except for on your days off when you hear construction all day. On The summer I got here, it was +20 to +30(on occasion), and since they were tearing down the entire outside of the apartment i wasn't allowed to open my windows or balcony. It got extremely hot and uncomfortable in the unit, and no rent was deducted even though i couldn't even use my balcony the whole summer. My roommate told me she saw a bunch of mattresses beside the dumpster wrapped in plastic and crawling with bugs. People above me have puked onto my balcony while drunk and partying. The manager will is really nice and friendly though, he does a lot for tenants and I feel it deffinently makes up for it. But I had to leave an honest review, if you have kids do not rent here.

I love the maintenance and office associates at Maple Gardens. The suites are very nice and quiet too.

I lived in 224 , Kate lyn id helpfulin every tenants needs she is really a good person a very nice woman and friendly . all staff is outstsanding . thanks Boardwalk.

I have moved to this location only to have my beautiful furniture and mattresses riddled with bedbugs!!! They are almost impossible to spot until they reach adulthood( takes about 45 days) , and my significant other has been experiencing big welts we thought were a reaction to his new job. Turns out our bed frame mattress and side tables will all need to be thrown out after being clean and bug free for years and in good condition! All of my furniture beds and bedding came from my last house in leduc which my family lived in for 10 years not having any problems with pests of any kind. I am now sleeping on a love seat with no bedroom because this building is inhabitable! I have all New living room and bathroom and bedroom furniture sitting in storage at my grandmothers because it can’t be here! This place is the definition of disgusting and I’m happy to report I terminated my lease!!!

Maple Gardens is not a place to live it is full of bed bugs and cockroaches. My son(19months)and I and husband all got MRSA from the building and my sister also got mites. We moved out on the 30 of the month and went to give the keys into the landlord and all that could give me is a bill of $4000 to pay for incentives!!!! I am not paying for this bill. We moved because of our health and safety. I would not recommend this place to anyone at all with kids especially.

DO NOT RENT HERE!! Clearly these reviews are filtered, because when I put less than 2 stars my review will not post. I previously lived here, and I have had so many issues. One of them being that something was jammed in my door lock and my door handle was damaged (possible break in) and Pushpinder told me that if nothing was stolen it isn't "a big deal" and "next time call cops if you feel unsafe" it took FOUR days of me hounding the office to get my door fixed, as it wouldn't lock after this incident. Not only did I move out of this building due to the incompetent staff, but also because COVID hit and I was better off moving back home with family. They threatened me and their solution was for me to "find a better paying job" ?! This building is also not well maintained in the slightest, and it takes days for anything to get fixed or cleaned. They truly rob people for money DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!

Lived there a couple years ago. I can confirm that all of the reviews about bed bugs and cockroaches are accurate. Their typical response of "not being able to find you as a past resident" is a total cop out. Their pest control measures are cheap and ineffective they essentially just chase the bugs out of one unit and into another and inevitably they always come back. The walls are riddled with asbestos and boardwalk doesn't like to spend lots of money. The staff are usually great, they are just limited by the corporate stakeholders above them.
