So far my experience with Manor Management has been great. Debbie and I have played phone tag and have made a great relationship. She didn't give me any attitude, in fact she helped me more then anybody I have dealt with trying to find a place. She accomdidated me when the first suit I seen was already taken, she showed me a second suit she thought I'd like. And did. That is the one I plan on getting now. Debbie is a wonderful lady, if you treat others with respect, they will treat you with respect. So far I am enjoying this company. I haven't had any bad experiences and don't plan to. Play by the roles and respect the building owners, and property managers and you will be treated fairly as well.

I rented from manor management 8 years ago and they completely screwed me over! i should have learned my lesson but yet here i am renting from them again! any time some thing breaks they do not want to fix it and give you nothing but attitude! i have never had complaints from neighbours, rent has always been on time and i have done no damage to the place yet im having a very hard time finding a new place because they are trying to give me the worst reference that they can! you can leave the place in better condition then it was when you moved in and they will still refuse to give back your damage deposit! they are absolutely the worst people to try and rent from and will make your life a living hell! there is much more they have done to me and people i know but to much to type! Do not rent from this joke of a company!!

I will never ever recommend renting with them. Their management sucks! if you call them for repair its gonna take forever before you will be contacted, their staffs are very unfriendly and un accommodating.you ask them questions and all you can get are indefinite answers and attitude esp from one of their staff name Debbie. I lived in one of their apartment for 10 months and since day one our sliding door was broken and won't lock and we just used a stick the whole time. Reported that to them since we moved in their apartment and until we moved out it wasn't fixed.one maintenance guy came one day but he wasn't able to fix it and never came back and tried to fix it anymore.im just so glad we already moved out but now after 27 days after the final walk through we haven't received our damage deposit, called in their office and the staff that I talked to cannot even answer any of my questions just told me that its not there yet and she don't know when am I gonna get it or the status of it..so I'm filing a complaint in service Alberta..because I'm done talking and dealing with the useless staffs of manor management.maybe that way, they will actually try harder to work on the return of my damage deposit.

They do not care about their tenants anymore, only filling units and collecting money. Over the past couple years, our appartment and surrounding area (multiple MM buildings) has been quickly emptying of respectable families/individuals, and filled back up with junkies who break into the surrounding vehicles and apparmtents, stealing mail, sleeping in the hallways, let alone what isn't being witnessed. Someone even defecated into the laundry room garbage in one of the buildings at one point, and wasn't cleaned up for over a week. You figure, if the building is being taken care of, someone would be there at least once a week to check up on it, and it would have been seen? But no, a tenant had to clean it up just for the privilage of being able to do their laundry while not in the presence of human feces... disgusting. Just in general, it seems like the area for our buildings has decreased in quality, but it is defninitely no thanks to the newer tenants in my own, and surrounding MM buildings. I know this from witnessing the people and situations with my own eyes... even have had a couple of altercations with these drug-addled tenants myself and apparently there was even a recent death from drug overdose in one of the buildings. The level of care and service has declined MASSIVELY over the past few years. Previously, our apartment was cleaned and checked up on a weekly basis, now the exterior entrance and windows on our building hasn't been cleaned in over 2 years... maybe more. Even minor things need to be directly reported (sometimes multiple times by multiple people... aka heat problems or parking-lot lighting), or they just won't get fixed because rarely is anyone even at the building to check up on the situations. For most situations, as long as it is affordable and I know how to complete the job, I don't even call Manor Management anymore... I have replaced the exhaust fan in my washroom, the inner mechanics of my toilet, mouldings, and even done the job of the completely useless plumbing and heating company (Arrow Plumbing) on multiple occasions now, because every time I have called, all they do is go to the same spot in my apparentment, making me re-arrange an entire packed up and cramped area, just to turn a little knob and drain some dirty water. Most times the fix only lasts a couple days to a week, and while I do continue to do it, MAJORITY of the heat in my apartment comes from using space heaters or turning the oven on and opening it (landlord recommended)... wonder if they would recommend a person to pay my power bill for me? lol Not sure, but I think that they have lost a portion of their staff or budget that would be allocated to these services, and it is now all falling onto 1 (or maybe a few?) Property Management Agents, who seemed to be overwhelmed with the amount of work that they have to do, preventing them from keeping up. You think that they might have a better chance at filling the vacant suits (30-50% of the suits in the buildings that surround me), if they hired the right amount of people to actually handle the amount of work required by the company. Time for the big heads to stop being so cheap and put out what is required to provide a decent and upkept living area and hire some staff to support the people they currently have (because they are all pretty hard working and nice people, but it will take alot more work than the small handful of management people they have can legitimately put out)... I mean that is the ENTIRE description of a "Property Management Company"... Come on, do your job lol. P.S. It is also entertaining how they ignore most of their complaints (both on here and in real life situations). If they do choose to respond, all they do is hide behind strange generalized legislation, implying that some of it applies to the person they are responding to. That is fine, and even if it does... how about some human interaction with your human tenants? A bit of effort to show that you care more about the person than the black and white fine print on some paper lol?

There is some evil in them there places that they rent. If you're interested in sharing spaces with some huge and wonderful cockroaches then these may be the folks you want to talk to. Bachelor, one bedroom, and two bedroom apartments are available in some dwellings they rent that don't even cost extra to share. That's right! The lovely cockroaches are thrown in the mix for free at no extra cost to the renter. Be careful though as they are quick to evict and never seem to stop and consider their end in situations or the trash that they rent out. Slumlord is the word that keeps coming to mind here for me. Just saying.

I had a very poor experience and would never rent from this company again. On one occasion, my suite was flooded by water seeping through the ceiling from the suite above while I was not at home. My personal belongings were used to soak up the dirty water, then left for me to clean up. There was no phone call or note left; and I had to call to find out what happened, then was told the manager "did what I had to do". I felt bullied by the property manager when booking showings for prospective tenants during the last month of my rental. Despite agreeing to several other showings, I turned down ONE showing due to having prior plans and under 24 hours notice. For the rest of my stay after that point the manager was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and sent me several text messages with a threatening tone. I was provided with written move out instructions the last week of the month, which described tasks with "due dates" weeks before the list was given to me. The management office was equally unhelpful. On at least three occasions I left answering messages that were not returned, and when I spoke to two different people about the above issues there was no help. I asked for a receipt to be included when my security deposit was returned, and I was assured it would be there, and then of course it was not included. Overall, I found there to be a lazy attitude from the staff I interacted with, a complete lack of customer service, and I would strongly suggest avoiding this company if you're renting in Red Deer.

We got along great with Anna from Manor Management! She was always very friendly. If we ever needed anything repaired they were quick to send someone out. They accidentally charged us for a steam cleaning that we already had done when we moved out but with a quick phone call they took it off our bill. They also never bothered us with walk throughs or check ins the whole time we lived there which was nice.

I had Manor Management as a landlord for three years. For the most part, it was three years of me doing my thing and them doing theirs. They have had people come over to fix things when I have asked. The apartment did have a mouse or two, but that is largely the result of where the apartment is located and the people living around me. They have been really good about keeping the halls clean. Snow shoveled, ice ice-melted. Pretty good about answer my calls, not so great on returning them always; usually must call back. The only complaints that I have is that the building is supposed to be non-smoking, but practically everyone else in the building smokes. When they took over from the previous landlords, the previous landlords (Oak Point Developments) "lost" the rent cheque and I got dinged by Manor Management for paying my rent late that month. Overall, a pretty good company to be your landlords. Not sure if they deserve all the hate that they are getting here. Giving them five stars because they were they when I needed them and other than that we had nothing to do with one another.
