Awful, awful place. We waited 40 minutes outside in the cold and paid $10 cover for an empty bar. They told us it was a long wait because they were at capacity, but we know that was a blatant lie because 1) it was 10 pm, 2) no one was leaving but they were still slowly letting people in, and 3) the place was dead. Staff are incredibly rude, the music is not good at all, and zero fun was had. The overall atmosphere of this place is boring and dull, and the staff are just terrible people. If you’re going to work a customer facing job, maybe learn some manners? :) If you want to pay for overpriced drinks, stand around bored, and feel unwelcomed, this is the place for you!

Long wait time, even though when walked inside, it was a half empty bar… I guess this place is trying to make it look β€œhot” with a long line outside. Wanted to order cocktails from the menu, bartender said β€˜I don’t do cocktails’.. lol Long story short, don’t waste your time and go somewhere else. Plenty of great places in Toronto with better service and vibes.

Beautiful bar with a lavish interior, with a secret entrance out front! Disguised as a motel check-in, the Mahjong Bar is a hip and trendy spot for a night of drinks and cocktails. It's the perfect bar if your snapping pics for Insta, but if your planning on putting away a few drinks and looking for snacks after- maybe not the place, lol. I was a little disappointed in the food selection and the Pork and Chive dumplings were very plain. The drinks on the other hand blew my mind! I was not a fan of espresso martinins, but I LOVE the espresso martini I had here. I would 100% come here again for 'drinks only' night out.

Speakeasy in the west end of Dundas. Has the front of a late night dry cleaning place. The decor is like my Chinese mothers basement with a mixed decor that has Asian inspired art, old diner flooring, and a mural of the jungle? The seats are a variety of booth seating, diner style seats, and old McDonalds non swivel, four seaters with a table. Interesting array of drinks and snacks available, including "Neopolitan stout" which had a sweet, creamy, and chocolate notes. Dark lighting in the evening and has a lineup to enter on a weekend after 9pm. Music is like a nightclub, so it will not be a place to discuss and get to know your date. Something to check out for a drink or snacks in the west end but wish there was actual mah jong...to play the hours away.

Group of friends went out for birthday drinks this Saturday. Definitely recommend getting there by 9pm as lines do start. The fronts has a quaint design, unassuming. The bouncers at the door were really nice and personable. We were able to get a table for 6 after waiting for 15-20mins. Our waiter-turned-bartender later in the night was great, we loved his energy and he took care of us later when it turned into a dance bar. The interior is super chic and it's bigger than expected for a speakeasy. The food was great and well portioned. The music on Saturday was so bad, it's honestly why I'm giving a 4/5. All of us in the group have eclectic taste, open to different sounds but even rounds of shots and fake dancing couldn't distract us from the bad music. It was really a damper on our fun night. We heard so many good things about the bar, we'll maybe stop by another time cause it really has the potential to be a go-to gem.

Great vibes for drinks and lounging. We got lucky and were seated at the area right by the entrance with the fancy chairs. The dark ambiance with the red lights inside really makes this place unique. Drinks were good, especially the espresso martini. Overall, fun spot!

My friend and I came here for a couple of drinks and a snack, and we definitely enjoyed the experience. The decor and atmosphere was very unique and the vibe was also very trendy. They had good drinks and a small selection for the food menu, but we got the calamari which was really tasty and would recommend. We had a couple different cocktails and also shot of tequila, and they had Tromba silver which I like. The music was good there the crowd was fun, and the service was great. Would come back for the drinks abd the fun vibe!

One of the best bars in the city. The ambiance is unbeatable. The drinks taste really amazing. The staff are nice and give really helpful recommendations. I went for my birthday and the waitress gave us free shots. My boyfriend is very interested in Japanese whisky and she brought several kinds over to us so he could see what they had and he got a few glasses. Their menu has changed and there has been a decrease in cocktail options, but the quality of drink is great. I would recommend coming β€œearly” (maybe 9pm) if you want a table on a Friday or weekend. It gets full fast. I will continue to keep coming here.
