The only place I go for my cuts. Even though I have my prefered stylist. The whole team is friendly and I have yet to see someone leave upset after their cut. The stylists have been there for years...that should tell you a lot about how much they love their jobs

Only upside is no wait and cheaper than other salons but no covid safety measures in place. She didn't ask me any covid questions or check my temperature. Just sprayed my hand with some sanitizer which I don't even touch anything. She didn't wipe down the seats just used blow dryer on it. I do hope they sanitize the equipments between clients. Definitely didn't feel that covid safe. My hair is down to my waist I asked to cut to my chest length. She took off way more and now it's above my chest by 2 inches. No wash or style. Was in the chair like 10 minutes. Paid $30. They were pretty packed in there too.

I went in for a quick blow dry at the mall. Helen seemed very friendly until she charged $50 for a 30 min blow dry. Nothing on their price list was this expensive except for colouring treatments and she said it’s because I have a lot of hair. If you are planing to triple charge your clients on a service I think it’s good to discuss price before starting instead of having them point to the *extra for long hair. My hair is up to my chest, not my knees. I called the other surrey location to compare price and explained my hair length and let them know there’s a lot of hair. They said it will be $30. Same company different locations. Not happy with the quality, it wasn’t finished properly and nor did she use heat protectant. If you’re charging salon prices , the same service should be delivered.

Have been coming here for years. They do a reasonable cut for a reasonable price. Quick and simple

I got a buzz cut, #5 top and #3 on the sides and blend it in. I am partially bald and don't have long hair. They charged me $25 for a simple hair cut. Is this their new going rate at every branch? I googled their pricing before going in and it had said $16 for 2022 pricing.

A combination of agoraphobia (anxiety disorder) and mysophobia (fear of germs) makes it hard enough to go anywhere at the best of times, but during a pandemic, it makes it next to impossible to leave the sanctuary of my own home. But since I was forced to venture outside for an appointment with an optometrist yesterday, I thought I'd try and sneak in a haircut as well. This mop of mine hadn't been trimmed in a very, very long time. So after my visit with the eye doctor, we worked our way down to Magicuts, stopping at every hair salon along the way to find out how much they'd charge and if they could fit me in today. We just wanted to see what other options were available in the offchance Magicuts was full. A friend was going to drive us home and I didn't want to keep her waiting too long. The first place we came across would've charged $60 and required an appointment. The aforementioned social disorder makes it next to impossible for me to book appointments so when at all possible I like to play it by ear. The next one could take me today but wanted $50. All I wanted was the return of my bangs (which had grown down past my chin) and my hair trimmed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the prices. After forced shut-downs, unsafe working conditions, reduced hours, layoffs, rude customers, etc. I think most stylists need and deserve higher rates; but living on a fixed income, my options are limited and I can't afford to pay $50-$60 for a simple trim. I was relieved when we got to Magicuts and literally squealed with delight when I saw they only charge $9.98 for a bang trim. After seeing the prices at the last two salons (and one barber), I was going to forego getting my hair trimmed and just focus on the bangs, but with these low prices, I was back on track with my original plan. So I got the full trim and feel like a million bucks. Not just because my head feels so much lighter, but because the stylist, who I will simply refer to as "J" (for privacy reasons), really made me feel comfortable. And we were on the same page about how often I should be getting my hair trimmed. Let me tell you, I'm terrible when it comes to budgeting for my own needs. Getting my hair cut was never a top priority and could always wait. And then the pandemic hit. After several years of hair growth I looked something akin to the lovechild of Cousin Itt and a cave woman. So this trim was as good for my soul as it was for my hair. And as I enter my senior years, I want to do so in the best possible health, which includes my hair. I'd also like to add that hubby and I have been going to Magicuts for about 17 years now. Their stylists have always been very kind and accommodating, not to mention professional and very talented. As such, I highly recommend Magicuts to anyone looking for a happy balance between cost and quality.

Excellent service with a very reasonable price (25 dollars). The stylist had her own way to cut my short bob but it looks way better now than before. Wish I knew her name so I could ask her to cut my hair next time.
