Madeleine and Carol did an incredible job of designing our renovation. We are so glad we hired them compared to past work we designed ourselves and regretted for years.They designed the most beautiful kitchen and bathroom for our renovation that fits who we are as well as helped with overall colours for the interior and exterior of our whole house. The floor tiles that they selected and the transformed space make us happy every morning when we get up. They understand the balance between decor, function and the reality of building which made their designs work in real life. We highly recommend working with an interior designer especially with the super talented team at MDG.

We decided to renovate my childhood home in Vancouver. I was always afraid that a renovation wouldn't be able to provide our family with what we wanted and needed, but Madeleine Design Group came up with a design that exceeded our expectations. Madeleine asked us what our style was, listened to what we needed, and and wanted, and delivered a design that was both functional and beautiful. The whole design process was fun, and enjoyable, and Madeleine delivered a design that we loved and was on budget. Thanks to her great planning, the entire renovation was completed on time as promised by our contractor, which made the whole process even more enjoyable. Now that the project is finished, we're so happy with the final outcome. I would highly recommend Madeleine Design Group, and would not hesitate to use their services again in the future, or recommend them to anyone.

Working with Madeleine and Carol was a great experience! They are creative, organized and thorough with great attention to detail. They came up with a plan for our first floor that encompassed what we wanted ensuing that all of the fixtures, finishes, colours and flooring coordinate to create a great flow in the space. It took several tries to find the perfect dining room chandelier, however, there was never any pressure to move forward with something that wasn’t quite right. In 2020, Level One of Vancouver completely renovated our Burnaby apartment. Tyler Bouchard of Madeleine Design Group was responsible for the interior design. I was living in Toronto during the renovation and, because of the pandemic, Tyler and I communicated exclusively by telephone and internet. Tyler was always easy to reach and pleasant to talk with. More importantly, he's a really fine designer. His suggestions for materials and finishes were always in keeping with the aims I expressed in our early conversations and it became easy for me to simply trust his judgement on myriad details. Given our apartment building's architectural style, Tyler suggested that a mid-century (last, that is) modern look would be appropriate. The finished look is modern and unostentatious yet arresting. A spare pallet of grey and white is enlivened by the texture of dark matte hardwood flooring and by walnut paneling in the fireplace mantle, illuminated bookcase display shelves and the walls above the kitchen counter back-splashes. I could go on. We've now been living in our new apartment for almost a year and our fondness for it has only grown since first sight. Madeleine and Tyler are courteous, knowledgeable, conscientious, and committed to their discipline. I highly recommend them.

We were introduced to Madeleine design by one our close friends who used them to renovate their apartment. We liked the look of our friends place so much we asked for the name of their designer to use for renovating our home. Working with Madeleine and Carol was a pleasure. They had such an organized, professional step by step approach to the whole process. We love the way our finished house ended up. They did the design for our new kitchen, family room, dining room, living I wouldn't hesitate to recommend using them to any of my friends or family.

It took my wife and I a few years to decide on renovating our apartment. It was one of those situations where the apartment was aging, but everything was still functional. Initially we thought of only renovating the bathrooms, then we included the kitchen. One thing led to another and we decided to renovate the whole apartment. The cost would be much higher, but over the long run, we would be enjoying a completely new apartment. We were referred to Level One Constructions. We reviewed their past projects, spoke to some references, and decided to go with Level One. Although we had many design ideas and photos that we had gather for this renovation, we asked Level One to recommend some interior designers for us to work with. After talking to the designers, we decided to go with Madeleine and her colleague, Carol. We were very impressed by their organization and preparation for our first meeting. After discussing our needs and our overall thought about the finished product, Madeleine and Carol gave us samples of their other work to clarify our ideas and to ensure that we were all on the same page! For us, our criteria were timeless design, organic natural finishes, durable material, open concept to enlarge the space and form for functions for the bathrooms and kitchen. We also want to save cost by using what can be reused such as the stair rails (repainted) and window ledges (sanded and repainted) and refinishing the front entrance door. Ambient lighting was critical and we dropped the ceiling to incorporate LED lights. Because of the pandemic situation, we limited our face to face meetings to deal mainly with material selection. Everything else was done by what apps, emails, and a project application called Basecamp. The project went very smoothly and while some hardware became unavailable, alternative selections were quickly provided to ensure the renovation stayed on track. It was truly a hassle free and most enjoyable renovation project. I have no hesitation in recommending Madeleine and Carol. A great company and a great team.

We used Madeleine Design Group as the designer for a major home renovation of our 3 bed, 3 bath condo in 2020-21. Tyler Bouchard and Madeleine Sloback had a vision for our project that was in keeping with our taste and produced extraordinary results. They transformed our condo, especially our kitchen!, into a beautiful contemporary area with maximal useable space. When we were renovating our home, we had the pleasure of working with Madeleine and Tyler. Being novices to the design and renovation process, they made the process seamless and stress free. Whenever my husband and I reached an impasse, Tyler would come up with creative ideas to help us reach a compromise. He was attentive and accommodating while helping us incorporate our ideas into a functional and beautiful layout for our home. With an open concept layout, Tyler was able to add a linen closet, coat closet, an enlarged bedroom closet, a full ensuite master bathroom with a rain shower, and a nine foot long kitchen island for entertaining. Our full wall floor-to-ceiling pantry is the envy of all our friends. Our renovated home has been a safe haven for our family during the pandemic.
