★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered kimchi fries and salmon tartare. The kimchi fries are the saltiest thing I’ve tasted in a very very long time. Needless to say we stopped after a few fries . I really wanted to like the place , but there are way better options in the area. 60$ for two draft beers, a portion of kimchi fries that we’ve barely touched, a a small salmon tartare with some chips.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Madame Smith is the last place on Earth I would want to go for drinks or food.
Food - The burgers were cold and everyone who had them had a bad stomach ache after a couple of hours. Coincidence or bad burgers?
Drinks - We ordered a pitcher of lady smith and none of us felt any alcohol in it. It tasted good but guess without alcohol.
Service (saved the best for the end) - the WORST service in Montreal. I have been to multiple places and I understand that service has been impacted everywhere due to pandemic. People are not trained enough and they need Time. But this place crossed all the boundaries. It took forever to get water and food. They got our order wrong and didn’t even bother correcting it or compensating for it (after an hour of waiting).
Recommendation - please avoid this place and save some time and money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time to be here for date night dinner before the movie, we ordered two dishes.
First, we like the burger and fries a lot. Juicy, flavourful beef patty. The second dishes is chicken karage with salad...the chicken pieces were very dry, not sure why were they. But we still finished them. Maybe I was hoping that they are juicy, tender and fresh hot deep fly like the Japanese one. The salad dressing is good. This place is more like a drinking place. So burger might be a safer option.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food and cocktails were awesome. The mushrooms tartar was a total delight. Sadly, the others at my table were all cold! Definitely a lack of heat on the restaurant part. Personally, I would go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The servers are nice but slow even when the place isn’t that busy. The poutine was really great for the first few bites and then it got EXTREMELY salty that the rest of the bowl became inedible. My partner got the burger which was delicious but his fries were also extremely salty.
