Agreed with the responses about young renters beware. Me and my boyfriend tried to talk to him and nothing but short answers, barely looking away from his phone. Prior to the open house we had scheduled a viewing and i was there for 40 minutes waiting before finding out he wasn't showing up. I ignored this and went to an open house later where i previously stated he was rude and filled out an application anyways. When they contacted my employer they referred to me as male, showing how impersonal it was they didn't even know who they were checking into. After not receiving the apartment I asked why my application hadn't been selected they responded that it hadn't been complete and they got others in sooner than mine, which doesn't make sense since they reached out to my employer to 'confirm my status to accept application' and I had filed it within an hour of seeing the home.

I was personally attacked by Rob for my gender, my age, and my financial status. Young renters BEWARE. Rob MacPherson was so rude and unresponsive to me when I went to apply for an apartment listing. His responses were always never more than one sentence, and usually downright rude. I had explained my financial situation in a professional, accommodating way (I use a trust fund for rent payment) and he literally told me that he didn't believe me. What, a young female can't have money? DO NOT TRUST. This guy should be fired- or better yet, please retire. It's about time. EDIT after owner response: "Did not provide services", Dawn is my middle name, not last (for privacy reasons, I won't share my full name). I can ASSURE you, I sent multiple emails to this person regarding a property. I sent Rob emails detailing my trust fund with MD Financial, all which were met with, and I quote, "unfortunately, you'll have to provide more proof than that". To which I asked what documents he was specifically looking for in an attempt to prove my trust was real and I had to ability to pay in full. Rob responded in a disinterested manner, not even bothering to answer the question. How is someone supposed to prove their income when the realtor won't believe anything you send them? I had my Regional Trust Officer attempt to get in contact with him, to which he didn't even bother replying to. Now, this is my personal opinion on this person and should be taken as such. I believe Rob MacPherson has a personal bias against those who have either a lot of money for their age, or those who earn their income in a non-traditional manner. I felt personally attacked by Rob for my gender, my age, and my financial status. This behavior is no where near professional, and certainly NOT OKAY in this modern age. To anyone who sees his listings, please be extra cautious, listen to the reviews on here, and read his responses to the reviews. Do you want to work with a man who would rather save face making excuses? Who brushes off those he's worked with because his job matters more? Who doesn't own up to his behavior? I didn't, and neither should you.

I agree with the Young Renters Beware. I had a weird feeling from the first meeting with Rob at the showing. He was extremely rude and dismissive. I felt rushed and completely disrespected any time I tried to ask a question or comment on the unit. A few days after I sent my application, I was actually sent a text by Rob at 6am in the morning saying that my application was approved for the condo and that he would send over a contract. He did apologize for the early text, which I proceeded to say was okay because I was up working at that time anyways. I agreed to him sending over the contract. It wasn't even a half hour later that he texted again saying that he read further down the email, which apparently said that the owner had stronger interest in another applicant. That makes no sense. How do you go from sending me a contract to looking further down an email? I asked outside opinions if this was normal and I was told by friends, family members, and even a prior landlord that that was very shady and odd behaviour. I understand having an application denied, but to "read further down an email" makes absolutely no sense. I would've been quite forgiving of that had I not had such a negative encounter prior with Rob both in person and over the phone. I'm not the type of person to send reviews (this is actually my first one ever), however I was so off put by this property management company that I felt this could help someone who had a similar experience. I felt that this was extremely unprofessional. All in all, I hope MacPherson Real Estate can do better in the future and treat all potential tenants with mutual respect. The positives that I have taken away from this experience would be the few interactions I had with the assistant over the phone. I thought she was very kind.

Very poor bed side manner. Inconsiderate and straight up rude. Doesn't listen to tenants even when involving serious matters. 10 out of 10 would not recommend... Edit: to respond back to McPherson Real Estate. I wasn't going to go into detail but due to the response from Rob here we go. First off I have NEVER smoked inside any place I have rented, that is disgusting- I do not even smoke. We spent hours cleaning the unit even though there was a MOUSE infestation which was the reason we were leaving on short notice as my partner and I have health issues. We also have pets we were concerned about contracting disease. We didn't thoroughly clean the cupboards as this was where the mice were residing. I did not write this review to say anything bad about my previous landlord. I wrote this review to discuss how Rob treats people. During our walkthrough he ignored me discussing leaks in the ceiling as well as mice feces in the cupboards. He is extremely arrogant and makes false claims. There was no reason they could of held onto my deposit as they unit was clean and in good condition minus the mice which was not our problem. It also took about 18 days to receive our deposit back. Beware of this company as I have heard they rent out filthy units. As you can tell it isn't just me who has had terrible issues with this guy.

Non-responsive. I asked about my application and sent them a few emails. No one responded. Would've been nice if he gave me an update.

I rented for a year with this agency and every time I needed something done the response time was quick. Very efficient and helpful. Made the renting process simple and painless.

Rob’s a great property manager. He’s sometimes too curt for people’s liking, but he’s honest and reasonable. So if you’re unhappy with working with him, then that’s probably on you.

Outstanding. Rob and team managed my rental property for over 10 years, and it was great. No issues at all the whole time, and they found quality tenants whenever it was available. I couldn't say enough good things about them. All I had to do was watch the rent come into my account each month.
