★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have had the most unpleasant experience with this business owner. At the first she seams nice and sweet. But not for very long. My teen daughter had a consulation with the owner a couple days ago and she quoted her $230 plus taxes to dye and bleach her hair. She checked the length of her hair and even cut it that day. She charged $48 for the hair cut and wash. Yesterday my daughter came to dye her hair and instead of paying $230 plus taxes she charged her $330. My daughter was there without me and she felt uncomfortable to ask or say anything. She gave her the extra $100, but when she came home and told us we called the owner. She said that she used extra product and that she had to charge more for that. When we asked how so if she is the professional who checked the hair prior to the appointment and gave her the quote? How can extra cost that much and how so that she needed extra product at all ? She said that 'life in BC is hard' and that 'she was closed for 3 months during the covid situation' and refused to give the difference back. So, with the trim and with the dye this visit cost my teen $400. Her hair is shoulder length. Also she did not provide the receipt for the service. She said that she is not giving receipts to the clients if they do not ask for them. Also, she told her that 'it is okay to take the mask off' and she did not wear a mask in the salon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marina brilliantly fixed the very bad cut and colour I received from a different salon a week ago. She took a poorly layered cut with over-processed highlight and incorrectly coloured low-lights and elevated it into something I can wear with confidence while it grows out. Marina, is brilliant at corrections and worth every dollar spent to feel beautiful again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here's the tea. Make your own decision. This woman is nice enough, yes. However, when she's not burdening you with her financial woes she's scattered and the client pays the price with an unintentional asymmetrical haircut. Like, every time. Not only that, she charges you $2 if she even touches her hair dryer during your appointment which is guaranteed to be a max. of 20 mins. She seemingly believes appointments are loose recommendations and has NO problem wasting your time but will call you 10 mins before your appointment and tell you you're late. There is little technical skill but there is certainly a lot of opinion on how hard it is to live in BC. She decides that minute what the price of your service will be and makes you jump through hoops in order to pay her.
Bottom line: Her thirst for $ results in terrible service/finished product. She lacks skill, lacks professionality , overcharges for substandard quality. With so many options in Aldergrove, this one would be low on the list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had a very good experience with Marina. She does excellent color correction. I love what she did with my hair!! It is very hard to get into see her you tho, must book in advance as she has lots of clientele. I wont go to anyone else. Period. The wait is well worth my time. Sorry to see she has some bad reviews....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an overall good experience at this salon, Marina managed to get me in late notice. Which allowed me to get my hair done before my birthday, she also gave me a free olaplex treatment with my lightener, after I told her I couldn't afford it. I really appreciated that she cared about my hair, and went the extra mile for me. As for the application itself, it was very even, and she was faster than most other hairdressers I've been to. The pricing was less than I normally spend, and she explained why she was pricing things the way she did. Definitely one of my new favorite hair stylists
