DO NOT BUY DIRECTLY FROM LOREX. This company is awful. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought the cameras. I received a wrong order and did not even take them out of the box and returned it to UPS as they had advised. 3 weeks later I still haven't received my refund. I was told by the overworked and underpaid customer service agents in the Philippines about me having to wait 2 more weeks before it can be processed. They don't want to refund your money and if you have a problem, good luck! I cant begin to list the issues I had with them. They even shipped the cameras without the NVR and had to escalate it three times before I got it. FYI.. one of them may choose to respond to this review and other reviews with a seemingly humble and caring response about your issues, do not fall for it. They themselves are all victims of this terrible company. Buy from a third party vendor if you are still inclined to use their systems. To call them criminals, is a subtle compliment.

Sales team emailed me an offer for 15% off my cart, if I called in and asked to speak to an agent. I called in, asked to speak to the specific agent, was told twice that he would return my call, but he never did. A different agent says he can't offer the discount on the cart, despite having access to the email I received from Lorex Sales. Seems like a small thing, but if Lorex lies, and refuses to honor official correspondence, while trying to make a sale then one can only imagine how shady their after-sales and warranty support will be.

Terrible! All the way around Do NOT Buy directly from Lorex If you really want to buy a Lorex unit, buy at Costco as you can return easily. If something doesn't work return it. That's why we love Costco! NOT if you buy direct from Lorex. Terrible time and waste of time! Their customer service I believe is in the Philippines and understanding anyone is difficult. I bought on Black Friday. Unit got here quickly - 5 days My unit did not work properly plus I bought a 2TB hard drive and unit only had one. On the phone for hours. Should have been a no problem sir, we'll exchange it. Instead they make you feel like you stole it. I only have had it 4 days. Totally a waste of my time After 3 agents, all somewhat ignorant, escalated 2 times, they say they will send me a return mail sticker, however must go to head office for review and I should get a return mail slip in about 5 days if approved. If approved???? Thing does not work and wrong hard drive! Nothing good about Lorex I definitely will not buy again.

Bought a Lorex system thinking it was a great investment. Multiple problems. Tech after tech with no resolve. Final explanation from top Lorex tech "Lorex is only an entry level system". Already replaced a hard drive after no answer from Lorex dragging into after warranty period. Many better systems. Please do some due dillegence. I did not, expecting to invest Canadian and get quality. Call security companies and get multiple opinions.

Beware-"warranty" is fake. The cameras have great features, color night vision, motion detection, etc, if they work. You need to hire professionals to install the system. It doesn't work out to any savings due to that. We bought a system with "warranty" direct from Lorex. One camera was defective, which I paid a professional to determine. But try to get the "warranty" activated..you must call repeatedly for weeks and each time, you must start over from the beginning, spending 30-60 minutes on the phone each time. You never get anywhere but back to the start. It's absolutely insane and you give up, which is the Lorex designed plan.

Great when you buy something, quick shipment, friendly, etc. but if you try to return something you're out of luck. I shipped two package back and waited a week after they received them to inquire as to the status of the return. I was told they take 10-15 business days to return the money. After waiting the additional 2 weeks without a refund I called again and was given a case number and told I'd have to wait an additional week an update on the case. I waited another week and was given the refund for one of the boxes. I called again about the status of the other box and was told I'd have to wait another week. I've now waited another week and received an email stating that the package only weighed 5 lbs so there's no way I could have shipped them the 8 cameras. Also they told me it's been over 30 days. I sent them a picture of the drop off label from UPS showing the package weighed 26 lbs and advised them that it has been over 30 days because they refuse to give me my money back. I called and was told they have escalated my ticket and I should wait another week. They've now had the cameras back almost 6 weeks and are refusing to refund me my money, just stringing me along. Amazing that a company this size can act like a bunch of shady crooks. I'm so disappointed. After posting the above review I was contacted by an employee on their Customer Experience team. It took another two weeks with several more emails and calls but I was able to get refunded the money that was due to me.

Great camera looks system, for the price and quality it can't be beat. I ordered a 4 camera nvr system, one camera came defective and they sent a replacement almost next week. I also ordered one for a friend, however he did not want it and I was able to return the item within the 30 days days. Only issue I have is the reviewing videos on the app, it skips and time-out at certain events but when you review on the NVR system there isn't any skipping. Hope someone from their APP team fixes that bug. Highly recommend for camera quality , pricing and customer service!

I ordered 3 products. The 4K 16-Channel Fusion Network Video Recorder with Smart Motion Detection and 3TB Hard Drive Γ— 1, floodlight camera and the doorbell camera to add to my system. The recorder and floodlight camera have worked flawlessly. My whole wired system has been reliable for a few years now. The doorbell camera recently purchased has never worked in spite of my best efforts. I’ve contacted support numerous times spending a few hours to no avail. In the end I requested a refund which has been very difficult to get. The tech support person is very difficult to deal with. I requested a supervisor. I was never allowed to speak with a supervisor. I demanded a refund for a product that has never worked. After literally spending another hour with tech support the last call and then being transferred to the sales department for a refund I am told now I will need to wait 3-5 business days for a decision as to whether I will receive a refund. Regardless of the outcome I will never buy another product from Lorex. The customer service is some of the worst I’ve experienced. Not only is the woman in tech support horrible but the policies the company has in dealing with a problem are to waste time and wear the customer out and counterproductive to a good business.
