every time I shop here the employees are very helpful and patient, huge selection of gear and big open store. They go out of their way to help a customer with any problem. whether its a pair of sticks or a set of cymbals, this store will treat you with respect (like 97% of the time)

It is always a pleasure going to Long and McQuade music. The staff are very helpful and very knowledgeable. They are very professional in allowing tests on equipment. The rental portion of the business is also amazing. You can rent daily, weekly or monthly with awesome rates.

I've been to this Long & McQuade location a handful of times and have always had a positive experience. Great selection of instruments and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful without being pushy. I'd rather drive up to this location to make a purchase for the true customer service experience than have to deal with the rude, condensending, non-helpful employees in my hometown St.catharines outlet. 5 stars, will be back again!

I’m not one to leave reviews but after my experience in this establishment the other day I’m compelled to comment on a few things. Firstly, after 20 years in this industry I have never seen such outrageous pricing. I was completely baffled by this, however I respect what businesses have to do to during times like these so I WAS willing to look past this. However, the customer service was absolutely awful. They were just rude to me for no reason? I asked somebody to check if they had something in stock and it seemed as though I’ve presented the biggest burden of their life. We all have our days, but it was every single employee in this place just giving you the cold shoulder, I felt so awkward. Lastly, this place just smelled bad. Awful!! I was close to calling the cops cus it smelt like something was rotting in there. Basically if you’re planning on coming to this place; bring your check book, don’t ask questions, and have a nose plug handy!

I had a terrible experience at this store, if I could give 0 stars, I would. When it comes to music, and the tools to create it, customer experience matters. I wanted to be confident in my purchases, however the sales associates at this location created such an uncomfortable and harsh environment for my shopping experience. I wish I could remember the name of the associate, but I have a feeling this attitude may be a company wide issue. Besides the terrible customer service from the employee, I stumbled across a huge stain in their carpet. I had my mask on so I couldn't tell if the smell was from the stain, but it goes to show how little they care for their products. Looked yellow ish to me.

With a limited knowledge of drum kits, I was unsure if I would find what sound worked for me. The sales associate Nathaniel did an excellent job at displaying his knowledge on the products and helped me choose new drum skins. They are exactly what I was looking for. It’s also necessary to highlight his approachability and patience. 10/10

I have been a long-standing client of Long & McQuade since the late 90’s, and can fully attest to the excellent quality of products and services offered by them. This Hamilton location is great, because there have very friendly and knowledgeable people located in all departments. I personally very much enjoy chatting with the guys in rentals whenever I need to pick up gear, and the accounting department has always been very kind whenever dealing with any of my financing needs. L&M is still definitely a top drawer company in my opinion.

Have been here twice. Excellent service both times and great selection. Purchased a violin the first time and have not had any issues with it. The second time, had some questions about the violin and brought it back to the store for a tune-up. Kevin was very kind and gave us lots of helpful advice. Very pleasant experiences on both visits and will definitely be going back.
