★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location close to Ganges. Ocean front beach is nice and private. Wi Fi does not work in small cottage. Fridge is a bar fridge which does not hold much. Went on first day of spring house was not very setup for guest. Empty BBQ tank no cushion on outdoor chairs etc. A nice place just a little overpriced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Accurately rated at 3 stars although I’d really like to give it a 4.5 but I cannot. The hosts were pleasant. The Large 3 bedroom suite above the garage with the huge balcony is great and very cute, albeit a bit over decorated with kitschy vacation decor from the 90s. Suites at the main house are small, cramped, cluttered, and dark with no amenities. This huge farm/cabin property is on a phenomenal private location on the island with its own dock and could easily be 5-star, but, it’s very clearly too much work and upkeep for the two laidback Chicken farmers to handle properly on their own at their age. They need to hire some ambitious detail oriented help and put some $ back into maintenance and infrastructure. Most of the expansive outdoor wooden decks, stairs, fences, and dock are well past their prime and likely on their last safe useable year as they are rotting and breaking/dangerous. Very little of the property’s overgrown mature, lovely vegetation/flowers/paths are trimmed and much of the equipment is old, rusting, and on its last legs. I suspect 10-15 years ago this place must have been immaculate but it hasn’t been kept up and needs serious updating/investment to remain viable as a business charging what they do for a stay. We’d come back for sure, but only if the nightly rate was significantly lowered to be reflective of the current state of the offering. Hopefully they can fix the place up, or sell it to new owners who will repair and maintain it, as it has amazing potential and location.
