★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have hired Mrs Monica Martin on Jan 2020 from Live Happy Counselling Service in Vernon. My daughter had been taken away from me without my permission by her mother and has been alienated from me since 2015. My daughter has been dealing with 2 different unprofessional counsellors from Vernon as well before and as per court order, we had to hire a new counsellor. After speaking with several counsellors in Vernon, Mrs Martin assured me that she can handle this very difficult case. What I received was one year of dealing with her unprofessional, unethical behavior and poor service. Instead of promptly helping me and my daughter, her delay and lack of understanding in the case worsened the situation and even recommended that I should not see my daughter for the next one year even without properly assessing the situation and just blindly believing what the alienating mother has told her! The honorable judge found her service “Terrible” after a day and one half cross examination in Kelowna court and ordered to hire a new counsellor as soon as possible that possess expertise in dealing with parental alienation for “reunification/reconciliation” process. I got a report from an Expert and what I had expressed to Mrs. Martin as my concern as parental alienation was proven in that expert report. I have wasted one year of my time, money and dealing with lots of stress with this person. I do not recommend this person for any kind of counselling.
