Terrific view. A bit rugged but it's not crowded.

Great views at the top. Good leg burner as it was steep 80% of the way

Great hike. About 7.5km return. Loose scree at the top. Fantastic 360° views.

Great hike, relatively short but challenging by contrast, especially in winter conditions. Wear spikes! Lots of elevation gain and a great view over the spray lakes. Perfect for a half day excursion. It's also not as heavily trafficked as other trails in the area so you get a much greater sense of isolation while traversing the terrain. There's also a great balance between hiking and scrambling, it can also be easily accomplished by novice/intermediate hikers. It's close proximity to Calgary makes it a great day trip!

This is easily one of my best hikes ever! You start off by parking on the side of the road and you head into the forest. Stay to the left of the creek, there should be a path heading in deeper. You'll come across a fairy tale looking area with moss and streams of water. Keep on going you'll see a bridge on the right but stay left and you will see a smaller bridge. Once you cross it then you'll go up a rocky bike trail. When you hit a rock cairn the road will go left, but go straight past the cairn and it will take you up the mountain for about 15 minutes. There will be an open area with forest on the right and the rock mountain on your left. Keep going straight and follow the path, it is easy to get lost. The incline will start getting steeper and rockier. You'll eventually hit a big rock area that's flat, that's not the end but keep going up. Maybe another 35-45 minutes and you will reach the peak of the mountain. This is where you will see the 360 views from the top!! Enjoy, have fun, and be safe when hiking. ????

Gorgeous views from the summit and a decent trek up.

Park on the side of the road, there are no signs. There is a sometimes dry creek bed at the road. Short steep, (very steep in places) hike but what spectacular views!! So worth it. Trail was busy probably for that reason. Lots of views along the way. A few small snowy sections remaining, but easy to get around, no spikes were used. When you come to the two bridges, go across the small bridge (left) on the wide path. Look for the small trail with a pink ribbon and go right. Trail does some braiding in spots, but all paths lead to the top. We recorded 8 KM and 848M of elevation gain.
