★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How nice to be able to go into a mom and pop shop in the financial district, grab a quick bite at a great price, and eat healthy too! And if that's not enough, the food is spectacular! This is definitely a historical gem in the heart of downtown Toronto!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can't beat the price for lunch, especially in a city like Toronto where everything is expensive. Food is made fresh, the menu changes daily for specials and has the small mom/pop shop feel. They do have a dedicated menu also, their breakfast sandwiches are delicious! You can tell it's a good place with so many repeat customers that always come back (and all the staff knows!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So disappointed. Their sandwiches are fantastic and well priced but I decided to try some soup today and I found what I'm guessing was a piece of plastic. Luckily I noticed before it was swollowed! Beware of the soup.

I asked for a vegetarian breakfast sandwich (egg, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, peppers) with 10 grain bread. It was delicious, fresh and exactly what I needed to start the day. The staff were really friendly and I loved that Lite Bite has a more relaxed atmosphere than other places in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For what it is, it is great. Classic breakfast & lunch counter. Glad they survived the major shutdowns as I've been coming here for years like a lot of people who work in the core. Not aware of anywhere nearby quite like it.
Portions are good, price is fair, food is fresh and tasty. You should almost always get a special: there typically seems to be a pasta dish, a mixed plate and something else that can be remixed into a sandwich/sub option and it changes daily.
There's enough regular sandwich options that you can find something to interest you, but not so many that you're stuck in lines. Even at noon they move quickly, though the staff always seems nice. Random grab and go desserts, snacks and baked goods as well as drinks round it out.
Bring cash if you want them to like you more. Great place for fast lunch on a weekday.
