Lauren and Lisa rescued us! It was time for our family to move after living in our north west Oshawa home for 25 years. Our oldest child was away at school and our youngest was not really on board to help with all that was needed for our relocation. And there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of work to be done before we could list/sell/move... Lauren and Lisa had all the contacts arranged for us! They were able to find us help packing, moving, painting, and staging all done before and during the Christmas break. Then they used their knowledge of the local market to list our home at the right price. One weekend for the open house, around a dozen home visits with help provided for snow removal and home lighting when we were not at home, and competing offers were received. Working with two agents was helpful because they bring a combination of skills that you often don’t get with just one agent. We consulted with both of them based on our specific concerns and their specific specializations. Buying and selling during the pandemic was trying on our emotions as prices were constantly fluctuating, so it was incredibly reassuring to have agents who knew the market well, and knew how to strategize as the market kept shifting. I tend to follow the real estate market myself by scouring over the sold data on the internet, so I often fall into the trap of thinking agents are extraneous. I was proved wrong with my experience with these two. No amount of buyer knowledge can compare with the knowledge of experienced real estate agents who have been in the field for several years. Lisa was able to quickly pivot in our house selling strategies when the market quickly changed during the pandemic, so that we still got our price regardless of the chaos of the market. Lauren was incredibly detail oriented and never left any box unchecked. She staged our house perfectly with an awareness of what brings buyers in and was one of the most hard working people that I’ve come across. Our house was vacant during our sale, and Lauren managed the property throughout with timely updates every night.
