Update : Updating my preview from 1 star to excellent 5 Stars because "Jonathan " from LifeTime Development came in person to investigate the construction guy and corrected the situation right away . I was impressed with how Jonathan dealt with it professionally , very pleased with the outcome . Thank You , 5 stars is yours , you earned it :)

The company's customer service team is unresponsive and lacks accountability. For a company that builds high-end condo buildings in the GTA, it is EXTREMELY disappointing that they cannot deliver answers to simple questions that the owners have for their new condo. You ask a question to the customer service representatives and they will tell you nothing and ask YOU (without even attempting to escalate it on their own) to call management to find the answers yourself (keep in mind, these are simple questions). You call management, and they will present the same quality of customer service/professionalism as their representatives (rude). It is extremely upsetting that as a new home owner trying to figure everything out, you have to go through added stressors dealing with the company. Upper management should HIGHLY consider re-training their staff to maintain their value and respect for customers.

EXTREMELY UPSETTING EXPERIENCE. The customer relations team will not pick up your calls, will ignore your emails, and make you follow up on every single call and email over and over again. Company should consider revamping their customer experience and values as they do not meet the standards (especially since the building is advertised as luxury condo- why can't your staff present the same quality?).

I went to their office at 49 Jakes Ave to inquire about the proposed condo going up at that exact location and the lady I spoke to there was so short and dismissive with me that I left feeling rejected and irrelevant (was it because of who I am, the way I looked, the way I was dressed... what?). I actually had to push to get more information from her, and all she said was that the building was not yet on the market and to go to lifetime's website to find out more information (not even a smile, a hello or a thank you for coming by). It's not that she was lying about the information she shared... it's that she acted as if she could care less about me and about my inquiry and more about what she was doing on the computer. There I was, a potential customer who took time out of his busy schedule to come directly to the office to talk to someone in person and get a better understanding of who this developer was, what they were all about and what they had to offer, and I basically got a slap in the face for coming by and interrupting what she was doing. My experience actually turned me off this developer and left a very sour taste in my mouth. Honestly, I was highly considering buying a suite once it came up on the market, but now I would rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere. I strongly value customer service and my first impression of this company was so negative that I will never consider buying anything they build, no matter the location or cost.

I have lived in a Lifetime Condo for five years and unfortunately it is extremely apparent this developer cuts corners wherever they can. Terrible. I am surprised they have any five star reviews at all.

Avoid Lifetime dev condos!!! 33 helendale ave (whitehaus) building is brand new and got lots of issues but these guys just ignore and didnt even come to take a look. It’s been more than 3 months. Customer service is pretty rude and unprofessional. No wonder you guys have under 3stars review.

Avoid this Builder I bought a Condo from this builder, at the time of purchase they said there will be free assignment, however once we sked to assign, they said you have to pay almost $10,000 and agree to remove the 'free assignment clause ' from the agreement also remove the all incentives which was given at the time of original purchase !!! They also said you can not put on MLS, ca not do advertise in any other platforms !!!!!! you can imagine how you would be frustrated. After occupancy we asked to get an approximate time for final closing their lawyer said' NO IDEA' which means we have to be stand up and just be prepare for a period of several months and with a very short notice of 2-3 weeks get mortgage around $800,000 and close the deal. I did few preconstruction before, this was absolute the worst experience. AVOID THIS BUILDER. I am thinking to take this to media.

Incompetent and unorganized team with zero accountability. I purchased a brand new condo unit from Lifetime Developments in 2021. I have purchased with three of the other major builders in Toronto. This purchase was the worst experience I have ever had in my real estate portfolio. The entire team at Lifetime Development has no accountability and no value for their customers. I had multiple errors and issues during the purchase of sale, final occupancy date and even the PDI appointment. Their team was not helpful and extremely unorganized. They seem to lack the experience and competency. They have a β€œCustomer Care” team lead by a β€œVice President of Customer Care” which I question what this team actually does as taking care of their customers is not one of them. I tried speaking with the manager and 'VP of customer care' and got the bounce around. When I did, they responded with a generic response. Basically did not care at all. Based on my view, Lifetime Development team will do everything to avoid taking care of the customer and treating them with respect. They are however very quick when it comes to accepting your money and payments for the unit. - go figure. To buyers, I highly recommend avoiding this builder. Invest your hard earned dollars somewhere that actually values you, your time and investment. Save yourself a lot of long term stress, time and frustration. To the leaders of Lifetime development who I hope read this. I highly suggest taking a strong look at how you treat your customers and investors. It is wrong to be in business if you cannot fulfill and honour your commitment. Your customers allow you to keep building, so take care of them. Educate and train your team to actually provide quality service. Also, really look at your 'customer care' team as it is extremely inefficient.
