M	Mj Jj on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called in to get a base price to do my taxes,answer on the phone was the cost is based on your income so I went in anyways then once it's all done they charge me 115$ and say that's the flat rate cost .could have told me the base prices on the phone so I would have known the prices . Shady answers and rip off never going here again .

Charged me quite a bit too, she told me if i got audited or anything happens to contact her and she'll help as ive paid for this service. Well fast forward a year later and im being audited. Ive been trying to get a hold of the office for WEEKS. emails, phone calls, ive even went in person during the "open" hours, and NO ONE. This is so sketchy. Ive read other reviews that people have experienced the same.Im guessing this place is a scam, cause they do no operate like a legit establishment. If you need to get your taxes done, go somewhere else. DO NOT GO HERE.
K	Karen Aguiar on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used the company because it was recommended by a friend, I went to this office because it was closed to me, same story as the one above, never answered about prices or even estimates, and didn't even tell me how much it was after it was done, he just sent me to another person to pay and I was shocked when I got charged $200 plus taxes for my assessment, the fastest in history; called my friend and for the same Gerry charged me twice as much with half the income, first time client and filling just one year (2017); I called another of their offices and the person on the phone couldn't even explain about the high charge, but instead apologized, she tried to clean it saying that every office has its policy, to me this was a pure rip off and advantage taken, so first and last, you have been warned!

I first saw Liberty Tax Service on Danforth when I had dropped my car off at the carwash across the street. I had time to kill and thought I would go in and talk to whoever was there. When I walked in, I was greeted by Gerry, who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was asking lots of questions and I could see in his eyes that he didn’t think for a second that I would ever be hiring him for any services, but he helped me anyways and gave me a lot of great advice that I could have used to basically do my taxes on my own. However, due to some complexity with my personal business, I decided to use a professional. I shopped around, read reviews, and just wasn’t able to find anyone I felt I could trust. So without a single review online for Liberty Tax Service, I decided to give Gerry a chance. I was NOT disappointed! He found a large amount of tax savings that I had missed and I ended up saving a lot more than I thought I would have! A few weeks later, I went back and had him also do my personal taxes! Again, I was impressed by his knowledge of the tax system and he made everything easy for me to understand. It might have cost some money to hire Gerry, but in the end that small amount saved me thousands! Thanks Gerry! I’ll definitely be back next year!
M	Megafoot2164 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe how terrible this business is. On September 2nd 2021 i went to file basic tax return for the previous year. They wanted to photocopy my i.d , i refused . I told them that they could see it but not photocopy it. They went ballistic saying how i had to in order to prevent fraud . I knew different. Rude, aggressive & the price was outrageous. I walked two blocks West & recieved the service for much cheaper, plus they did not photocopy my i.d. , plus the other place was kind & courteous beyond fault . My advice,do yourself a favour go anywhere else but this location. They aren't worth the time or money, they are that bad. My response : If the person's had conveyed that in a calm manner, that would have made all the difference but didn't . Management being on vacation is an excuse . When your in the customer service industry, wether a manager is there or not shouldn't make one difference. Plus no apology from them or you. That says a lot. Never again.

My son who is older has additional jobs so his accountant charges more but it is still extremely affordable. They are very trustworthy and provide quick and affordable service!
