★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called the paw about a cat adoption and the foster parent for this cat that I was interested in said that she will call back the next day and never heard from her since and that was two weeks ago. I had went somewhere else on Thursday and adopted a cat whom is a great fit and will never call these people again. It is no wonder they have an over population of cats because they do not want to adopt them out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad experience. I agree with Annette's review. Wanted to adopt a cat. Was open with information on first "interview," including the fact that we had 2 small dogs that didn't mind cats. Was strung along for many days, then finally had a FaceTime interview in which I was up front about having a doggie door for the dogs and what I should do about it. You would have thought I'd committed a criminal offense by the way the "interviewer" reacted. She basically hung up on me and made me feel like garbage, instead of trying to find a solution. Also, after "20 years' experience," you would think that that would be one of the questions first asked when finding out a potential adopter has dogs. Never again will I deal with this outfit.
UPDATE: I ended up just looking on kijiji for a cat and we found a beautiful tortie on a farm just waiting for a good home. She was full of worms and ear mites, but took her to the vet, got her all cleaned up, and she has fit wonderfully into our family (even dealing with the "evil" doggie door)! This felt like a real rescue because she might not have been adopted and had to spend the winter in a carport, cold and sick with parasites.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best rescue society in the city, in my opinion. They care very much for their cats and make all homes are the best possible ones for each individual cat. All adoption fees are subsidized to include all the veterinary care they need before being adopted like vaccinations and spay/neuter, excellent value.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got my son from paws. Roxanne was super sweet and easy to deal with. We took a chance on our sweet fuzzy boy and made the right decision. I would highly recommend paws. They make sure their pets go to the perfect home. It's a process but it is worth it.
