Les Bouts d'Choux French immersion preschool is located in SE Edmonton, Alberta. We are located in Ecole Frère Antoine school and teach French to kids ages 3 and 4.
About Les Bouts D'Choux
Our teaching assistant, Yulicia, was born and raised in Ontario where she learned to speak French by attending school in the Francophone school system. She moved out west to Alberta 7 years ago. Yulicia is currently a full-time student, working on getting her CDW (Child Development Worker) and plans to obtain her CDS certificate (Child Development Supervisor). She currently holds a CDA certificate (Child Development Assistant).
Before coming to Les Bouts d’Choux, Yulicia worked at an out of school care centre as a Ratio Enhancement (Educational Aid) for children who are on the autism spectrum. Helping students who are on the autism spectrum is also her current area of focus and study. On weekends, she works with children as a respite worker. She loves working with children and they never fail to make her smile!
In her spare time, Yulicia enjoys spending time with her family, her pet hamster Pepper, and going on road trips.
Yulicia's motto is: Playing is also a part of learning! We are so excited to have her join our teaching team this school year

- the class sizes are not large
- gets them ready for the school structure of kindergarten in advance
- the different themes each month and activities that correspond with them
- teachers are hands-on, kind and wonderful with the kids
- exposes them to the French languages
- monthly field trips
- chance to volunteer in your child’s class monthly to watch your children learn
I would 100% recommend Les Bouts D’Choux to any parent looking for an amazing French Preschool

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sophie is an inexperienced and under qualified teacher. She is too concerned about following the rules rather than on the children having a good experience while they learn. I have heard her speak rudely to the parents so I can only imagine how she treats the kids when no one is around. She likes to lie to the president to make herself look better even if it means hurting someone else. I would definitely never recommend this place to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My oldest son has gone to Les Bouts D’Choux for the past two years and I am so happy I chose to send him here. The teachers are wonderful, loving, kind and hands on with the kids. They do a different theme each month witha themed craft daily. There are also story time, free play time, carpet time each day and field trips at least once a month. They go outside as often as they can with our silly Alberta weather. I feel like this preschool has prepared him so well for French Immersion kindergarten and made him such a little independent boy. I will be sending my youngest this upcoming school year too. If you are looking for an amazing south side French preschool, definitely send your child to Les Bouts D’Choux.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing French immersion preschool! Mme Sophie is a wonderful teacher with only the children's best interests at heart and goes above and beyond in all that she does. The programming is amazing and les Bouts d'Choux does a great job of preparing students for kindergarten. My daughter learned so much in the year that she attended, and brought home a ton of keepsakes. I will definitely be putting my other kids through the program.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son is in his second year of preschool at Bouts D’Choux and this program is incredible! The teachers are absolutely fabulous. The classroom has such a wonderful set up for learning with loads of books and awesome toys to play with. Their class plans are excellent and the crafts and songs foster a fun learning environment. During the shutdown they moved seamlessly to online learning, keeping the kids engaged, learning and communicating. They do such a wonderful job of making the preschool experience for each child a memorable one. Highly recommend this preschool!
