0 out of 5 rating. I called Leo’s Plumbing (I spoke to the owner Leo) regarding a toilet repair and it started good, but went downhill from the initial contact. First of all, he never returned my call after telling he would call me in 15 minutes to discuss repair schedule - I had to call to remind him of my appointment on the day of the appointment. In addition, when he emailed me the bill for payment he charged me $12 for his employee’s PPE gear (mask, booties) and charged me $13 for a toilet part that did not even require replacement. I recognize that $25 is not an exorbitant amount or a mountain to die on, but it’s more about the principle of getting over-charged and making unnecessary changes without my consent. Essentially, both of these charges were deceitfully charged without prior discussion or agreement. Why would I be responsible for Leo’s Plumbing’s employee’s mask, booties - labeled miscellaneous costs. When I brought these to Leo’s attention, he wrote me an abrupt and rude email stating his business has been in operations for 50 years and they have been (over) charging customers these mysterious miscellaneous (mask, booties, wink, wink:)) fees for years. It takes many years of hard, honest work to build a business, but only a few years of being deceitful and providing poor customer service to make you disappear and be an irrelevant relic of the past. In the 21st century, thankfully there are checks and balances like social media/Internet to keep businesses honest, respectful and customer-centric and the dinosaurs that don’t evolve and adapt will cease to exist. Years in business doesn’t always mean success, trustworthy and exceptional customer support and my experience demonstrates this fact. The internet is the great equalizer in shifting the power to customers to call out all the bad actors that give respectable, honest plumbers a bad name. Use Leo’s services at your risk.

I hired Leo's company to replace a kitchen faucet at a rental property on Monday, June 21st. The job was completed properly as my tenant was satisfied with the new faucet. My credit card was charged on June 22nd. Since then, I have repeatedly requested an invoice from Leo without any success. I have called on June 24th, sent an email on June 26th, called again on June 30th, sent a message on their website on June 30th. Today is July 3rd, I still have not received my invoice. I have hired many professional contractors over the years for plumbing or other property maintenance tasks and I always get the invoice on the same day that my credit card is charged.

Leo this review is for you to read as well as anyone else. Sorry for the low rating but I don’t think you understand how frustrating it has been to call you every day and be assured someone is coming over and yet other employees have told me you have written nothing down. I had used Leo’s Plumbing for years. Always friendly and prompt. I saw those low reviews and was puzzled as it was never my experience. However the past three weeks have changed my mind. A month ago I would have given this business 5 stars. For 3 weeks(!!) after repeated calls and an email Leo has continued to assure me he will send someone over to fix my plumbing. Unfortunately every time it has not been true. Leo, you have finally broken the trust of a loyal customer and it’s never coming back I’m afraid.

Leo seemed nice and knowledgeable on the phone, so he gets 1 star for that. It’s was a clear day today, which would have been ideal to check out our water leak. However, we waited the whole day and nobody showed up. We called and followed up several times. Even after Leo said that he was coming soon, nobody showed up or called to tell us that he’s not coming. We were left scrambling to find another plumber at the end of the day (no appointments were readily available at this point). Meanwhile, water is still leaking on our property, and we either have to take a day off work or find childcare in order to wait around for another plumber to come on another day. And now it’s raining cats and dogs.

Called plumber for two toilet issues: parts instalment and plugging. Plumber came in to help with part instalment and insisted to come again for plugging issue. They did it to collect fees twice in which they could have done it one-time. Never called them again since then.

Just entered the store for first time, met Mr Leo at the door and in 5 minutes left with proper quality part in my hands. He just looked at my broken part and said - yep, we have it. Spent more than hour before looking on the shelves of other hardware stores.

Leo and his crew have been so good to us. They’ve come to assess and fix our heating and plumbing issues so quickly and with top shelf quality work we feel so supported in those times of need like when our AC broke on the hottest day in Vancouver history or when the heater broke on the first snow day of winter. Leo’s a kind voice on the other end of the line when you need it most. Best place in town..
