Canuck used the Gator Perforating Tool on a Horizontal Viking Formation well. Traditionally these wells are drilled from surface casing to total depth then 4.5 inch casing is run and cemented into place. For a completion the casing needs to be perforated then hydraulically fractured. Before using the Gator Tool Canuck’s perforating bill was costly and time consuming. Now using the Gator perforating costs have been reduced substantially and completion time has been reduced by 1 day on a 4 day job.
Canuck will continue to use this tool for its completion needs as it has proven results and saved our company a significant amount of money.
