Every member of Ledcor’s senior leadership team has over 30 years of experience in construction and business leadership. As an employee-owned company with over 800 shareholders, these individuals are also among our earliest and largest investors.

CORPORATE EXECUTIVES

Dave Lede
Chairman & CEO, Ledcor Group of Companies

Dave is Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Ledcor Group of Companies, previously holding the title of President and General Manager until 1980.

Dave has held many positions while rising through the ranks of his family-founded company, including Equipment Operator, Foreman, and Superintendent throughout his school and university years, and Operations Manager and Chief Estimator post-university. During his tenure, he has continued to diversify the company and expand our operations, making Ledcor one of the largest and most diversified construction companies in Canada.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, as well as two years of post-graduate studies in Engineering, also from the University of Alberta.

Ron Stevenson
Vice Chair, Ledcor Group of Companies

In his role as Vice-Chair, Ron supports Ledcor’s major operating groups with strategic pursuits.

Ron has held numerous progressive management appointments at Ledcor, starting in the field through moving into progressively more senior management positions in Telecommunications, Infrastructure, Pipeline and Industrial. In 2002, he took on the role of President Ledcor Industries, and in 2016 he was promoted to President Ledcor Group of Companies, a position he held for 5 years. Ron is a member of the Ledcor Board of Directors – a position he has held for over 37 years. He is also a member of all Ledcor Senior Executive Committees including the Executive Management Committee.

Tom Lassu
President, Ledcor Group of Companies

In his role as President, Tom supports Ledcor’s major operating groups with strategic relationships. He also leads executive succession planning and continues to drive Inclusion & Diversity initiatives at Ledcor.

Tom, a Professional Engineer has been with Ledcor for over 35 years. He has worked in a variety of capacities in the field as a Project Engineer and as an Operations Manager and then moved into senior leadership roles of Vice President, and Senior Vice President of major operating groups. In 2016, Tom was promoted to President, Ledcor Industries, a position he held for 5 years. Tom is also a member of the Ledcor Board of Directors – a position he has held since 2014.

Jeff Watt
President, Ledcor Industries Inc.

Jeff leads the operating groups and teams responsible for the company's multibillion-dollar portfolio of civil & infrastructure, oil & gas, pipeline, building, mining, power, and telecommunications construction projects across Canada and the US.

Jeff's diverse construction experience includes commercial, industrial, mining, civil, infrastructure, telecom, and pipeline. He has worked on projects across Canada, the United States, and Southeast Asia for both public and private clients. Jeff joined Ledcor as a Project Manager and since that time has progressed into roles with increased scope and areas of responsibility. During his 20+year tenure with Ledcor, he has developed a deep understanding of Ledcor’s diversified business and operations having held several executive leadership positions in Oil & Gas, Mining, Pipeline and Infrastructure. Jeff was President of Ledcor’s Energy, Mining and Infrastructure operations for 4 years, and has been a member of the Ledcor Board of Directors for 2 years.

He is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.E.) both from the University of Saskatchewan. Jeff is the past Chair of the Progressive Constructors Association of Canada (PCAC).

Rod Neys
Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer, Ledcor Group of Companies

Rod initially joined the company in 2001 as Vice President and General Counsel.  He was then appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the Ledcor Group of Companies, including legal compliance, M&A, corporate financing, and corporate policy. 

Prior to joining Ledcor, Rod was a Managing Partner at one of Alberta's premier law firms. 
 
Rod has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Alberta. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2010 and has an AV peer review rating from Martindale (highest level of professional excellence).

John Kump
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Ledcor Group of Companies

As CFO, John is responsible for the overall financial management of the Ledcor Group, including all financial reporting, taxation, risk management, and treasury activities.

John has been involved with Ledcor since 1999 and has held progressive financial and general management functions beginning in 2001 as a Financial Controller. Most recently, as Chief Administration Officer (CAO), John provided overall leadership for several of Ledcor’s key shared services including Human Resources, Information Services and the Ledcor Equipment Group. John has also overseen Ledcor’s infrastructure investments and pursuits of Public-Private-Partnership (P3) projects. 

John holds an MBA from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. He is also a Chartered Professional Accountant in British Columbia and Certified Public Accountant in the United States.

DIVISIONAL EXECUTIVES

Quentin Huillery
Chief Operating Officer, Constructors (Civil Mining and Infrastructure)

As Chief Operating Officer, Constructors (Civil Mining and Infrastructure), Quentin provides broad oversight, support, and strategic direction to Ledcor’s heavy civil, mining, major projects, highway construction, and highway maintenance operations in Canada and the United States.
Quentin joined Ledcor in 1999 and has over 30 years of North American and international experience in municipal, heavy civil, infrastructure, mining, telecom, and industrial project development, construction, and maintenance.

Quentin has a strong operational leadership background and extensive experience related to project development, including feasibility analysis and advancement of construction projects, followed by successful execution and commissioning of traditional, design-build, and other alternative delivery models, including public-private-partnerships.

Quentin also serves on numerous industry boards and committees, including as a Board Director for the Canadian Construction Association, and was recently the Chair of the Alberta Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association (ARHCA).

Quentin graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Iain Morris
Chief Operating Officer, Ledcor Technical Services

As Chief Operating Officer, Iain is responsible for Ledcor Technical Services’ (LTS) business operations in Canada and the US, including project definition, planning, execution and related financial, engineering and construction processes.

Iain joined Ledcor in 1997 and throughout his career, has gained broad experience working in mining, civil construction, telecommunications and pipeline sectors in both Canada and the US. 

Iain spent 8 years as Vice President, Infrastructure Services Group (ISG), building the team from the ground up. In 2013, he was seconded to the Contractors’ Division to provide leadership in the development of Ledcor’s Core Management System (CMS). Iain was promoted to SVP of Pipeline in 2015 and then to Chief Operating Officer, LTS, in 2017.

Iain graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Civil Engineering Degree. 

Dale Posein
Chief Operating Officer, Constructors (Energy and Petrochemical)

As Chief Operating Officer, Constructors (Energy and Petrochemical), Dale is responsible for Ledcor's pipeline and industrial construction groups as well as the Fort McMurray Oil Sands operation team.

During his 35-year career with Ledcor, Dale has gained broad construction experience as Superintendent, General Superintendent, Operations Manager, Vice President, Senior Vice President, and COO Ledcor Pipelines.

His construction experience has been diverse and includes pipeline, fiber-optics, road building, mining, industrial facilities, and SAGD (steam-assisted gravity drainage) projects throughout North America. 

Dale is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association Foundation (CEPA) and sits on the CEPA Foundation Planning Committee.

Pat Patterson
President, Ledcor Properties Inc.

Pat is responsible for leading our Properties division and is actively involved with our partners in the acquisition, development, and management of properties in select premier markets across North America.

Pat joined Ledcor in March 2010 as Vice President and was promoted to Senior Vice President before becoming Chief Operating Office in 2017.

With over 35 years of real estate development experience, Pat has been instrumental in transforming Ledcor Properties from a pure real estate investment platform into a respected residential developer in the United States.

Pat has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University and received a Master of Business Administration from Amberton University.

Jimmy Byrd
President, Ledcor Technical Services

Jimmy’s oversees Ledcor Technical Services (LTS), Ledcor’s division responsible for building and servicing communication networks for customers across North America

Jimmy has been with Ledcor for 10 years. He has been a senior executive for the past 25 years in several industries, such as Telecommunications, Information Technology, Distribution, Timber, and Construction. 

Jimmy holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University (SMU).

Don Quan
President, Ledcor Resources & Transportation

Don oversees Ledcor’s Resources and Transportation division, which includes Forestry, Marine, and Aviation services.
 
Don joined Ledcor in 2012 as Director, Solid Wood Operations, Resources and Transportation. In 2017, he became Chief Operating Officer of the Forestry and Marine divisions.  Don is a chartered accountant, and over the past 25 years has worked primarily in the forestry industry. His past positions were with both public and private enterprises and the roles varied from senior operating to finance positions.     

Don holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lakehead University. 

Russell Zirnhelt
Executive Vice President, Ledcor Construction Limited

As Executive Vice President, Ledcor Construction Limited, Russell is the executive-in-charge for Ledcor Construction and collaborates with Ledcor’s other divisions and construction partners across Canada.

Russell joined Ledcor in 2010 and has over 20 years of experience in business, engineering, project management and finance.  At Ledcor, he has held progressively senior positions in Finance, Infrastructure Development and most recently, Construction.

He has played a key role and held board positions on several of Ledcor’s major projects including; the Teck Acute Care Centre (the BC Children's and BC Women's Redevelopment Project Phase 2), Next Generation Kentucky Information Highway, Mackenzie Valley Fibre Link Project, and Southwest Calgary Ring Road (SW Stoney Trail).

Russell Zirnhelt has a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering in Electrical Engineering from University of Victoria in 2000 and a Master of Business Administration in Finance & Entrepreneurship from San Diego State University - California State University in 2006.

COULD NOT HELP ME WITHOUT A CONTACT NAME I am a farmer who needed some advice on putting a short bit of road on swamp, and what my best options would be. and best place to get geofabric . But the receptionist while pleasant was utterly LESS THAN HELPFULL
