I have been seeing Dr. Kang for over three years and I cannot tell you how well he and his physiotherapists have treated me in this time. I am in my thirties and have a double curvature in my spine, I have acute lower back pain that needs to be treated ever so often when it decides to give out on me. Just last week, I had an episode where I could barely get out of bed, and my pain level was at a 10. I called the clinic for an appointment and even though Dr. Kang was off that day and the clinic was closed, he opened up to see me because my pain was so debilitating. I do not know of a single other doctor who would do this, and I am grateful for his practice. He and his staff are intelligent and very knowledgeable in their field of medicine and treat me with the utmost kindness and patience. They have taught me many techniques to help with my double curvature that I do as maintenance so that I do not get worse as I age. I have learnt so much about my spine and how to align it properly with my breathing that this has changed my life for the better.

I have been living with a pronounced scoliosis for eight years and trying to manage it by conscientiously doing core muscle strengthening exercises. Despite my best efforts the condition of my spine continued to deteriorate and I was repeatedly told by various health care providers that the best I could hope for was to slow down the progression through exercise. This past summer I completed an intensive two week treatment program with Dr. Kang at the Toronto Scoliosis Centre. Dr. Kang attentively listens to, and addresses, patient concerns and questions. His treatment methods are tailored to the specific needs of each patient. I am 65 years of age, so the improvements in my spine were not as dramatic as they might have been in a younger person. However, the improvements that I did experience were significant and have made a profound difference in my quality of life, and my sense of well-being. I am now able to walk straighter than I have in years, and as long as I consistently do the prescribed exercises, I am no longer in pain by the end of the day. I have complete confidence in Dr. Kang and feel so grateful to him for how much he has helped me. I was particularly impressed by the positive atmosphere at the clinic. Dr. Kang is very supportive and upbeat in his interactions with his patients. Beverly and Rain, his two assistants, guide patients through various aspects of treatment, but Dr. Kang is constantly moving about the clinic, encouraging and monitoring the progress of each patient. Many patients are teenagers and young people. Dr. Kang frequently chats and jokes with them to keep the mood light and inevitably elicits smiles. Both Beverly and Rain work extremely hard to ensure that patients receive the most benefit possible from treatment. I was very impressed by how respectfully Dr. Kang relates to his assistants, and it is evident that they are devoted to him. He frequently consults with them and asks for their impressions and thoughts on certain situations. There is no denying that treatment for scoliosis is hard work, but there is also a sense of fun about the process. I felt that the environment at the clinic was warm, welcoming, encouraging and healing.

Our experience at the clinic has been exceptional. Our daughters progress since attending the boot camp and ongoing clinic support and at home exercises has been very good. Without this she would have regressed a lot. Our only regret is not finding out about the clinic 6 months earlier.

I have been bringing my daughter to Dr. Kang’s for years now. Dr. Kang, Rain & Beverley are awesome! They not only go above and beyond to take care of their patients but genuinely care about the progress made and really try to help clients achieve the best results. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone diagnosed with Scoliosis. My daughter was initially surgical category but now with Dr. Kang and staff’s care along with completing prescribed specific exercises diligently, she has improved and is out of the surgical category. My family is very grateful for their dedication and commitment.

I found Dr. Kang after doing extensive research. My daughter was diagnosed with a large curve and was in the surgical threshold. I was told she had to be braced ASAP. When I came to the clinic to meet the team, Dr. Kang answered all my questions and was super honest! He didn’t promise miracles or try to sell me on anything. What he did know for certain that her posture would be significantly changed, and that he truly believed the brace would make a difference. I took a chance with his program after talking with many other parents in his waiting room. Dr. Kang showed me a presentation tool of all his before and afters and I knew this program would work !! I had lost hope and put my trust into his hands and I am so thrilled that I did !! I had so many anxieties about the progression of her curve and let me tell you within the first 2 months I’ve seen unbelievable changes. After only 5 months of fully wearing the brace and doing the exercises, not only did her progressive curve stay stable..she’s actually out of the surgical threshold in only 5 months!!!! Yes, you have to stay committed to the program, just like any other! The adjustment period to the brace was short lived, and you can barely notice my daughter is even wearing one. She still has growth to do, but I am so confident and comfortable knowing how far we have come in such short time!! If you’re like me, who was hesitant and scared..look no further!!! I promise you are in amazing hands!! The staff is super supportive, and most importantly my daughter is feeling so confident!! I’m truly amazed and beyond grateful to Dr. Kang, Rain and Beverly ??

I first came to Dr. Kang's clinic with lots of back pain and my legs going numb from pain and a limp that I was insecure about, all due to my scoliosis. Over a period of a little more than 1 year, Dr. Kang, Beverly and Rain all helped me to feel my best and physically healthy in my own body, and I am so grateful for that. From my experience at this clinic, I was shown lots of care, patience and kindness from the entire team during a time where I was extremely stressed from the mental and physical journey I went through because of my scoliosis. I feel so lucky to find Dr. Kang for my daughter’s scoliosis. I contacted more than 7 schroth therapist for my daughter’s scoliosis in Canada. But I was never satisfied with how they answered my concerns and questions over phone. When I called Dr. Kang’s clinic, I got answers of all of my questions. Rain was so polite and kind every time I called her for any question. We travelled Dr Kang from Winnipeg for 14 days of intensive treatment. My daughter was looking straight within 14 days of Dr. Kang’s treatment. We visited doctor again after 3 months for just one day for brace adjustments. And now after 10 months there is curve reduction out of brace for 16 hours. I’m hoping for more reduction in future. My daughter wears her brace and does schroth exercises every day as prescribed by Dr. Kang. Doctor Kang cares about his patients and listens to all the concerns. He has always answered all of my questions about my daughter’s scoliosis and her exercises very politely. I would recommend that anyone with scoliosis in Canada visit Dr. Kang prior to receiving surgery or any other conservative treatment. Thank you so much Dr. Kang, Rain and Beverly.

Dr. Kang and his team are extremely knowledgeable about scoliosis treatment. We brought our 11 year daughter to his clinic she was diagnosed with a 55 degree curve, he rushed us a brace and we started the treatment program, her curve reduced from the severe category to the moderate category in the first two months. His team taught my daughter over 30 exercises so she can feel in control and empowered in her scoliosis journey. Dr. Kang is very patient and takes the time to talk to each patient as if you were family. Honestly I can't rave enough about this team and would recommend anyone with scoliosis to visit this clinic.
