★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Joe was the only one who helped me with my knee. I have severe osteoarthritis in my knee and was told by a surgeon, multiple physios and my GP that I need to just wait for my knee to get bad enough and then get a replacement. In 3 months (and 7 treatments) with Dr Joe, my knee feels so much better and I don't have chronic pain anymore. I'm back in the gym daily. He did Active release, acupuncture, chiropractic and other treatments that made me feel better right away. He prescribed an Ossur unloader custom brace which has also helped me tremendously. My GP was so impressed that she asked for his contact info so she could see him for her back pain.
No ego and a very caring doctor. Most definitely worth the trip to Leaside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Joe is an incredible chiropractor and has helped my husband and I recover from injuries (knee, back, shoulder, ugh...!) and get back to the gym more times than we can count. He has incredible diagnostic abilities and can assess, treat and correct a condition usually in just a handful of sessions. He will also give you rehab homework to speed up the recovery process. No one has time for injuries, so if you are looking for the best chiropractor in Toronto, check out Dr. Joe Kottoor and his awesome team of associates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a mysterious and sudden onset of debilitating vestibular issues this summer, I sought help from Paul Messner, who has experience dealing with vestibular rehabilitation. My particular brand of balance and instability problems went beyond the normal BPPV or Meniere’s Disease symptoms, and made treatment more complicated and difficult. Paul spent a huge amount of his own time and energy finding out more about vestibular neuronitis and Mal de Debarquement Syndrome for me; he collected up a variety of equipment and rehab exercises for me to do at home; and referred me to his wonderful colleague, Dr. Kate, when he discovered a possible connection with a seized neck joint. I am so impressed and grateful for the care and attention he gave to helping me through this truly horrible experience.
From Julie at the front desk, to Paul and Dr. Kate, I have felt heard, cared for, and thankful. I also highly recommend Paul for his dry-needling skills, for problematic muscle tightness. All in all, a wonderfully skilled and cohesive paramedical team. Thank you!!

A great team of docs and therapists who work together to bring about results much faster. I feel very indebted to Dr. Joe for always fixing my ailments. The only doc who could figure out my knee and fix it. Every clinic should model this one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love everyone at Leaside Sports Medicine, in advance of not even having met all of the practitioners, mostly because I know Dr. Joe only works with the best people. But this is a shout out for Paul Messner, one of the physiotherapists. I’ve dealt with a chronic pain for a very long time and as a result have met and experienced treatments from many body workers. I was so glad to meet Paul because he is a genius with an acupuncture
needle and easily fits in with the people who have helped me most. I am happy to know him as someone who can get me out of a flare up when needed - only one session and I’m
on my way to feeling back to myself. If you have struggled with any kind of chronic symptoms, or have struggled over time to find a technique that might help you, I highly recommend him. He really knows what he is doing.

Led by Dr. Joe, my knee and back feel great for the first time in years. This clinic is so different in terms of their level of expertise, skill, empathy and communication. Highly recommend this place. (Dr. Joe- I will see you soon as I need to come back for another set of your awesome orthotics!)

Best physiology and chiropractor care I have ever received, I am grateful for the excellent individualized treatments that relieve the acute pain, well as guidance on strengthening exercise for long term care of my joins, ligaments, and muscles.
