Leader Inn - Leader

Very clean, pet friendly and comfy beds. Nothing fancy, but definitely a good option especially for the price point. Staff were all nice and accommodating. Will probably stay again when I'm in leader.

Had a Chicken Quesadilla with salsa and sour cream and sweet potato fries with dill dip as a side for $14,35!! Dam tasty ?

Always welcoming. We can almost always find something to eat even when we show up late. Complimentary hot breakfast is excellent. The building is old but taken care of. I've never had a bad experience be and have stayed many times.

Very friendly, excellent food and lounge is comfortable. Room was okay, bed comfy and little dated , bathroom worked well, shower head a little low for my 6'3" frame. Only turnoffs I had was the smell of stale smoke and the volume of the partying in the lounge below me. But the price for the room is great and great hotel downtown of a town of 1000 people.

Traveling through Saskatchewan, we knew we would be ending our day around Leader. A quick internet search revealed only a couple of hotels / motels in Leader that are currently open. This one looked interesting because it appeared to have several businesses inside the hotel. A bakery (with very generous hours), a liquor store, a bar, and the hotel itself. this is definitely a "small town" type of place (and I don't mean that in any kind of negative way... I mean it completely added to our experience!) We found the hotel was easy to find, right on a main street, and the price was very fair for the night. Be forewarned that this is an older building and the hotel rooms are on the second and the third floor and there is no elevator. Our room was more than comfortable with a newer bathroom, a fridge and a microwave and a coffee maker. We were surprised to hear that breakfast was included (you have to be an early riser, it was available from 6:30 until 8:00 a.m.) in the downstairs restaurant and it was a hot meal of coffee, eggs and toast and your choice of bacon/sausage/ham. There's a bakery on the premises with great hours (the day we were there it was open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.) with an amazing array of freshly baked goods. All different kinds of breads and buns, all different kinds of pastries and treats and other specialty items. And in the downstairs lounge there is a bar which is also a liquor store. And they also serve pizza that was made in the on-site bakery. The food and drinks were great, but even better was the company and service of the staff and friendly locals who were more than willing to make a stranger feel welcome. This was a fantastic experience for us, we found everything about the Leader inn and its people to be very welcoming. By the way, Leader is a very interesting town as they have a great collection of roadside attractions featuring local wildlife. You can drive around town to find the various statues, there's also a gigantic Muskoka chair and a replica of a 1914 Smith barn.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The people are wonderful. I was very impressed by the hospitality and the relaxed environment. A big thank you to Bonnie! You are a gem. Also a big thank you to Fran for the hot cooked breakfast! You two made us feel at home.
