This Trinidadian gem on College impressed me from start to finish. The beers are flavourful and leave you wanting to try more. The food (I tried the colonel and doubles with homemade hot sauce) was unique in taste and texture. Whiskey shots on the house and attentive waiters are good demonstrators of the service. I personally liked the hip hop music and dim ambience.

Really great selection of brews. Great atmosphere with unique decorative touches. Sort of an urban/tribal mix. DJs rotate between hip hop and low key house music. The bartenders are sociable, I found it pretty easy to strike up a conversation when I was there. Aside from the brews the bartenders also make good drinks!

Great when you come to a local brewery and find people who aren't afraid to talk. The service was great, beer was tasty... music was on point.

Great place, great atmosphere, great beer, great staff. I highly recommend stopping by to taste their house brewed beer. I love stouts and the stout I had here ranks among my top 3. The brew master is definitely doing something right. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. I have sent many friends here, all have been extremely satisfied.

I learned of the spot when the chef (Young Animal) was featured on an episode of Late Night Eats. My girlfriend and I were looking for a spot to hold a joint birthday dinner with friends and both being of Trinidadian heritage, we were excited by the menu! The spot is quaint with a cool, laid back hip/R&B vibe. The staff and chef were incredibly personable and welcoming (shout out to Miguel!) and the dishes I sampled/ate were appetizing. I ordered the Goat Wellington (curried goat wrapped in a puff pastry) with a side of phulorie (fried dough made from chickpea flour). The Goat Wellington was divine- think flaky pasty meets tender curry goat! The phulorie were nice and light but they were a bit cold, my guess is because of the mango-chutney they were served on. Having the chutney on the side may have been a better alternative. My only other "complaint" was the time it took to get our food after our order had been placed but will definitely go back to sample other menu items!

Beer was tasty but not $9.5 for a glass (not pint) of draft beer tasty! Which they are probably ashamed to admit to cause it was not listed on their menu/chalkboard. Their in person customer service is so passive aggressive and pretentious. If you check out their reviews you will see them invalidate customer complainants and find reasons why they are justified to do xxx. Underwhelming, overpriced, and disappointing. To the owner who responded. It's sad that you often have the need to defend/demean anyone who doesn't give you a 5 star review. And seeing that I go out at least twice week and I have only 7 bad reviews OVER A 5 YEAR PERIOD is hardly "often". And lets face it, one off negative reviews have way more creditability that people paying for great fake reviews. Id rather people be warned when the lowest bar of expectations cant even be reached. Stop blaming covid.
