Hear me out. I am amazed by the fact that this store has 4.3 star review - most of the above reviews (especially the most recent ones that have 5 star reviews) are most likely fake. As a customer there, I was in the air of unprofessional attendance by the staff. The experience of shopping for a new pair of glasses was upsetting as the staff was pushing me to buy glasses even though I was only there for an eye exam. The eye exam was done by Dr. Singh, who was very rude and hurried to get rid of me as fast as he could. The store itself was poorly renovated and not completed. The carpet was dirty and had stains all over. The ceiling had signs of mold which showed the uncleanliness of the store. The frames that I tried on had fingerprints and dust on them. Overall, I do not recommend this location for Laurier Optical. Please, do better so that customers have a positive experience. This is partly a medical-oriented store. It must be kept clean and organized.

Ordered a pair of trial contacts from them to see if they would be comfortable to wear. First told that they would arrive the next day. When I stopped by the following day I was told that it would take a week. I called a week later and was told that the order had been placed and that they would call me when they arrive. It's now been over 4 weeks so I called to follow up. Today I was informed that they had never been ordered because I never paid the $40 (that I was never told about during any of my past 3 interactions) required to obtain a sample pair. On top of that, I felt rushed through the initial eye exam and not sure I have the proper prescription as a result. The store is dirty, partially renovated and has a very boring selection of glasses. I remember going in years ago and finding a large and varied selection of glasses. The quality has definitely gone downhill.

Staff was friendly enough and the eye exam was as it should be however, when I tried to buy the glasses today when it was buy one get one free type of deal going on they handed me a bill for $750!!!!!! for presumably 1 pair of glasses as the other one is free!!!!! MAN :) I was so shocked that I was literally left speechless!!! :) I told the nice lady that how can a pair of glasses cost more than my car payment!!!!! so she "let me see what I can do" :) so after typing for a few minutes she said should could do it for $600!!! though it was better than $750 I just could not do it... the shock was too much :) WOW last time both me and my wife paid around $500 for 3 pairs plus lenses... I am giving 1 stars for the service ZERO for the pricing...

Terrible service. Prescription was incorrect and the eye doctor said "My eyes were favoring my old prescription..." No, it was wrong - nice try. Worst pair of glasses ever. Cheap nose piece fell off every four weeks. I got them to fix it every time but eventually, I gave up. I showed up this morning to have it fixed again (for the 5th time) and they told me to come back after 12pm. A customer shows up with a broken pair of glasses and you tell them to come back two hours later? Seriously? This is how you run a business? Don't bother and go somewhere else. All I wanted was a new nose piece. I ended up going somewhere else and buying a new pair of glasses.

Consistently terrible service. Appointments change on you without you knowing, you just receive random text messages informing you as such. Opto never on time. Overpriced. BTW - have an issue with your glasses? That's too bad. Buying new frames through Laurier Optical will solve it!

Where do I start? Nice frames I wanted, $290, and half price. Great, sounds good, I'll order. Uhm, what! The lenses will be $700 and that's not even with any coating!? Seriously? And it went downhill from there. Sales person completely unaware about creating the prescription I needed. Declared it "illegal" even though after my first wasted trip to the store I came armed with a very clear email from my optometrist explaining industry standard process. Unbelievable.

I had a great experience with Dr.Singh. He was friendly and professional. Explained everything I needed to know in a timely way. Front staff are very polite and friendly. I’ll be coming back for all my eye exams.

Horrible communication, employees need much better training. I was told I could get a form signed for a work document on 3 separate occasions. Waited weeks for it to be done, to be told the day of pick up that I have to book and pay for a new eye exam before the doctor can sign my document. You’d think this would have been told to me the first day I went in to ask? Do not recommend this place at all.
