About Laura Borrero - Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
I was born and raised in small town Saskatchewan, early on I was fascinated with the complexity of human body and directed my passion towards health care. I studied and obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Saskatchewan where I went on to further study Critical Care Nursing. After a number of years in the field I realized I was consistently chasing symptoms, rather than identifying the underlying cause contributing to dis-ease. This approach to the body no longer resonated with me, and from this space I found Osteopathy.
I completed the Osteopathic program from The Canadian School of Osteopathy Manual Practise in Vancouver, BC which consisted of five years of classroom study and student clinic hours in 2018. I successfully defended my thesis research titled “Global Osteopathic Treatment on Postpartum Depression Symptomatology” and was awarded the WG Sutherland Thesis award for the advancement of Osteopathy in clinical research April 2020. I hold the professional designation as Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (D.O.M.P., D.Sc.O) and I am a member of both the Ontario and Saskatchewan Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners. My most recent professional venture is that of being a co-founder of Saskatoon’s newest wellness collective, Boreal Wellness!
My greatest area of interest lies within the mind-body connection as well as pre/postal natal care for both mum and baby. In my spare time you can find me exploring nature with my little family of three, in the kitchen mastering my current sourdough recipe, or connecting to my body in my yoga and meditation practice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the pleasure of meeting Laura on a plane ride home with my 4 month old baby. I sat beside her and my son was hysterical and upset. I was so overwhelmed she offered to hold him and told me she was an Osteopath ( which I had never heard of before) she was able to instantly calm down my son and even diagnose that he had some hip issues that were possibly causing him discomfort.
We had been seeing doctors regarding his constipation issues and his absolute hate for sitting in a car seats since birth.
She was able to work on him right then and there and his symptoms improved drastically over the next week. We continued to see her regularly after that and I was amazed at how she understands the body so well. She was a huge part of my sons healing journey from being in the NICU at birth. I'm forever grateful for meeting her and introducing us to all the healing Osteopathy can bring.
I also saw her for my post pregnancy symptoms.
She connected me back to my body and gave me my life force back.
Her energy is so warm and welcoming and her intuition is incredible. I cannot rave about her enough.

The rest of this review covers my experience and why I was so pleased.
She collected a relevant medical history. She dealt with me as a whole person rather than just a specific medical issue. She had a personable way of interacting with me. She was able to make connections about how various body systems interact. She gets to the point. She provides practical advice. She is knowledgable. It is obvious that she has seven years of osteopathy training. I found my sessions to be very worthwhile.
I will conclude where I started. I found the sessions that I had with Laura to be very useful. Five stars!

And most of all I was impressed with the effects her treatments had on my overall health. As soon as it’s safe to travel again I’m hopping on a plane to Saskatoon to get treated by her again. Such a treat. Honestly! 10 Stars!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband visited Laura several times with great results. So, when my hip and lower back were causing difficulty, he suggested I see Laura. She began with a very thorough medical history, talking with me and asking me questions. Then when she examined me she was able to pinpoint a couple of issues very quickly and through some very gentle manipulation provided some relief. She suggested follow up things I could be doing at home which have really helped.
Throughout the entire appointment, Laura was incredibly caring. She is knowledgeable. Her extensive training is so obvious. I trust Laura and would absolutely recommend her. She is a fantastic osteopath!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Between myself and my son we have had phenomenal success within 1 treatment. My son has suffered with nosebleeds for 3 years of upwards of 60 month, it had been brought to attention of my GP also ER staff when we would bring him in, with the check of the iron it was sending us away saying it's normal. I did not believe it but had no where to turn until I met Laura, explained Henry's situation. after 1 session with Laura, his nosebleeds went from that 60 to 5, his panic attacks also instantly disappeared. With the 2nd appointment he went down to 3. We are on a journey with my son and forever grateful to have been connected with Laura.
For myelf, I struggle with some depression which can leave me in a very low state for days at a time, I have never wanted to seek medication but have tried other holistic approaches to help, until going to osteo nothing has really helped. My treatments have helped me conquer the ups and downs and my mental health has been a lot more stable and continues to with every treatment. Laura's knowledge and efficiency on healing the body is invaluable.
