Zhanna is a very skilled instructor. You can tell yoga is her passion. I took her class and it was truly one of a kind! The studio is cute and cozy. I love all the natural light that comes in.

Zhanna’s instructions and methods are concise and well thought out; she teaches her students how to properly go into and out of a pose while maintaining proper alignment. Her classes are consistent in their quality while keeping them interesting and challenging at the same time. An amazing instructor!

I started going to Zhanna's Iyengar Yoga classes after a back injury and has made a world of difference to my healing since. My posture is getting better and back feels stronger. The small class approach helps in individual attention. Zhanna is so good in giving detailed instructions, helping when needed and yet pushing us beyond our comfort zone in a gentle but firm way. I would highly recommend everyone to try Iyengar Yoga in general but Zhanna's studio in particular.

This is an update from my review of 2 years ago. Zhanna has had to move her studio on to the Zoom platform - and has been VERY successful with this endeavour. She carefully watches us on a large screen TV & corrects our poses to ensure that we are doing them properly. I had a rotator cuff injury to my shoulder and was scheduled for a cortisone shot; with Zhanna's guidance my shoulder has become completely mobile and pain free enabling me to cancel the cortisone shot appointment. She also consults with 2 physiotherapists to ensure that we do not injure ourselves during class. I cannot praise her enough. 2 years ago Zhanna is an excellent teacher/coach. The class sizes are small. She doesn’t do the class with you; first she demonstrates the pose then she walks around making sure that each person is doing the pose correctly & to the best of his/her ability. I walk away every class feeling better than when I walked in.

Zhanna is a wonderful Iyengar instructor. She understands the way the body works and can tell when you need to add a blanket for support or move your feet closer etc. During the lockdown we have been having zoom classes where she can check our positions and tell us how to improve. This has been a good way to continue to practice during the pandemic.

Throughout our Covid time, I have regularly participated in online classes offered by Zhanna. Her approach is unique as she offers ways to strengthen the body. She incorporates elastic bands to strengthen muscles and also uses Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) to help with increasing joint mobility. With regular practice I have definitely become much stronger with my yoga practice. Thank you so much Zhanna!

Zhanna at Lakeshore Yoga is the most amazing teacher. She is so knowledgeable and is great at making sure my practice is always fun and challenging. She has amazing body awareness and accommodates my practice to my injuries. I have been practicing with Zhanna for over 6 years now (maybe even longer), and have loved every minute of it!

Joining LakeShore Yoga with Zhanna on-line via Zoom as a beginner was my first formal yoga class. Zhanna always provides interesting lessons that focused on practicing the small parts of a pose in the right way and then putting them all together. I appreciate the precision and attention to details of the form that allow me to consistently feel successful. Zhanna encourages everyone to work at the level that is right for them, including variations with more or less challenge. LakeShore Yoga classes improved my balance, strength, stamina, flexibility, and confidence. Each class is fun with a wide range of activities that target important foundation skills for enjoying yoga practice.
