★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hype is true - old school, quality subs for a great price and with a very lovely man behind the counter. $7 taxes in for what is essentially a foot long assorted sub. Everything tasted so much fresher than the chains, especially the bread which didn’t have that stale freezer taste. George, the owner, is very friendly and exactly the kind of guy you want to give your business to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm from the Danforth, but was in New Toronto and needed to grab a quick bite. Love a good traditional sub and was not disappointed. This place probably hasn't changed in 40 years and that's a good thing. Reminds me of the best old school restaurants on the Danforth and also Bellybuster sub up on Yonge north of Lawrence. George is a nice friendly guy and gave me a nice cheerful greeting when I came in which is nice (and sadly also rare these days).
I had a double meat Club for under $11 and was stuffed, and I have a big appetite. Tasted great. Nice white bread, fresh toppings, and love the classic shredded lettuce. Tons of meat. Will make a point to come by whenever I'm in the neighbourhood again.

According to the owner he's been serving the neighborhood for over 47 years.
The prices are very reasonable and the owner is definitely a character.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went yesterday to try this place out, based on the Google reviews and we were not disappointed. This is a real sub shop, and has an old school vibe to it. George the owner, is really friendly and likes to make jokes all the time.
The ingredients are really fresh, and simple which brings me back to my childhood when we used to have subs. I would definitely be back to eat there again, and support him even though we don't live near the area. They really don't make these shops anymore.
