About Lakeshore Garden Centre
Lakeshore Garden Centre has been serving Saskatchewan since 1936. We offer a great selection of prairie hardy nursery stock, plant care products and gardening decor. Shop in our 8000 square foot greenhouse and find annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, water plants and much more. Stop by our retail store located on the SW corner of Hwy 16 & Boychuk Drive to find our friendly staff waiting to show you around.
In addition to the operation of our retail store we are the largest and oldest specimen tree farm in Saskatchewan. Vic Krahn, CLT, JHT has 40 years of experience and will meet with you to provide a consultation and invite you, by appointment, to choose your large specimen tree(s). These mature trees are tree spade dug and placed in large wire baskets to facilitate a stress-free move. We provide an installation service, or, if you wish, you may pick up at our nursery and ‘do-it-yourself’. All trees come with a one year warranty. Purchasing semi-mature trees will allow you to experience their full beauty years sooner. ‘You can buy time’. For appointment call 306.978.3333 (opt.3) and ask for “Specimen Trees”. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought 11 trees here last year. 1 tree did not survive so I went back to the store to get 1 new tree. Brought my receipt and the dead tree. A female, who said she was the store owner, comes to "help me" and starts yelling at me saying there's no way I bought this tree there because the tree was so dead.. Then starts questioning how much water I gave the tree etc etc... Shes literally yelling at me while I have my 3 year old kid with me. Then she says she's keeping my receipt and won't be giving me a tree. Accused me of lying for several minutes until I've had enough.
I walked away and said I was going to get my tree and leave. She yelled saying she's phoning the police. I told her to phone whoever she wanted. As I'm trying to find the tree a young man named Adam came by, apologized and said I could take the tree. I paid the difference in price because the tree was more expensive this year and left.
I will never buy from this place again and would not recommend it to anyone. I still can't believe this person yelled at me while my young kid was standing by. Worst issue I have ever had in my life buying anything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank you, Lakeshore, for the good quality compost. We are happy with the 6 cubic yards that we got for our acreage. Sometimes "compost" is not very good, but this seems like a good mix. In general, my opinion is that Lakeshore has better quality plants and shrubs, later in the season. They may not have as wide of a selection as some Saskatoon greenhouses, but they take better care of them. So if you buy mid season or later, you are getting better bang for your buck from Lakeshore.
