★ ★ ★ ★ ★ as every boat owner knows, it's great to have a marine supply store nearby. Steve is very knowledgable about what he sells and carries a good stock. If he doesn't have it in stock he usually can have it the next day for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is my all-time favorite marine store! (Or any store for that matter). The service is above excellent, the owner being very knowledgeable and friendly. Parts and products not in stock are ordered and received in very short times. The products are of high quality with good warranties.
Disclaimer: Steve Lake, owner, and his wife Sue, have also become very close friends and sailing partners, so this review may be slightly biased, but true.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, I didn't experience any friendliness in my interaction with the guy behind the till. Maybe it was an off-day for him, but to be treated so dismissively as a woman when sadly it's pretty normal to automatically be regarded as the low end in boating if you're not a dude, it just didn't help me getting a good first impression of this store. I asked for 6 feet of wire but was given and charged for 8 feet; when I realized the mistake I already had lost any motivation going back inside to get a refund while dealing with that kind of demeanor.
