Primarily a destination for rich tourists or connected individuals. Regular Canadians are mostly to be avoided... Still a better reservation system than the campsites, so if you must see Lake O'Hara this is your best bet. Be prepared to spend big money, that's all that Parks Canada cares about now.

Our third stay over the past 10 years, first time staying in a Lakeshore Cabin. Great setting, cozy room with ensuite 3-piece bathroom (no bathtub). All meals are included in the daily rate, including a full hot breakfast, trail lunch, afternoon tea and supper. The food is very good, and they handle allergies and dietary preferences quite well. Meals are served in the dining area of the main lodge building at set times. They are well set up to supply trail lunches if you wish to hike on your day off arrival or departure.

Would love to stay but $1,100 per night with a 2 night minimum?! $2,200 for a 2-person cabin? Is this in LA or the Canadian Rockies? Looks incredible although....

Rustic, chic and extremely comfortably and cushy given the surroundings. The staff are unbelievably hospitable, with incredible attention to detail. I’ve also never eaten such luxurious food in the wilderness, and the lunches they pack are hearty, healthy and scrumptious! We stayed in the Aemmer hut Guide Cabin. It was so cozy, with a private room with a queen size bed, and then two doubles in the common area (one Murphy and one pull out couch). Warm and luxurious showers! We weren’t on the lake, but from the deck you had a great view of Lake O’Hara! Would highly recommend, but you need deep pockets.

By far the most magical place I've ever been. The lakeside cabins are from a dream and the lake itself is such an amazing color of blue and green. Way better than Lake Louise with 1% of the crowd. Tough to get to and tougher yet to get a reservation, but the effort is absolutely worth it. The food at this lodge was exception, also; breakfast, packed lunch for hikes, and dinner with a killer wine selection. We got married there on our trip, so we will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversaries :-)

Yup it's incrdible but sadly at $1000 plus/per night it's only for the 1% - most people I know can't afford to stay here. Nice for rich tourists but sadly a paradise most Canadians will never get a chance to see. If you have money - go for it, it's five stars in every way, I just don't like the exclusivty of the location and the fact that campers have to hike on a dirt road for 22km to get in and out.

Tried to get in for years. Fake raffle. Nepotistic practices. I know people who get to stay every year yet most of us plebes are not worthy of equitable reservation access. This is a national park! Parks Canada should step in and take control of bookings. Everyone should have fair and equal access.
