Great little place, on the main drag, but has a nice quiet patio in the back, with a big garden. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food was great, I had the mushroom soup and salmon special, and both were very tasty. They serve some local craft beer as well, and apparently they are also a hotel. Would definitely stay here, or at least come back for the food and drinks. April 15,2022 - Another great visit, shorter menu this time of year, but that's expected. The food was great as usual, can't wait for patio weather. Service was great! Those bar limes were dry, seemed like they were a bit old. Not a big deal for me. See you in the summer. Cheers.

Visited twice - for a dinner and late afternoon drinks/snacks and had a great time. Enjoyed the server, cocktails, and food. Order the dark and stormy - it’s superb!

I do not recommend eating here (and I would be hesitant to stay here as well). We ordered delivery. It was half and hour late, and they mixed up our bill with someone else's which was over $100 too much! It took days for everything to be resolved. They did cancel the charge, but are keeping my credit card on file to charge me for the food later. Why would they do this days later? Also, why didn't they charge my card right then and there when I told them I wanted to pay over the phone when I ordered? Keeping a credit card written down at the restaurant for a food order is not okay. Overall the food was decent, the only things worth noting are that the fennel slaw, and the calamari were good. Everything else was alright (ribs, fish n'chips, and truffle fries). I am disappointed in the administration and management. Human error is normal, but zero compensation is bad business. In response to the restaurant's response: My deepest apologies that you have to close down due to the restrictions, sincerely. Make sure you check out the support you can apply for on the government of Ontario website, there are plans out there to help with costs for restaurants. I do have to address the false claims in your response. At no time when I called to place the order did anyone mention that it was an inconvenience for delivery. I simply asked if we could order delivery and was told that yes the restaurant was doing delivery. There was absolutely no warning that the restaurant was fully booked or that it would take extra time or be any kind of inconvenience to order off of the regular menu. These are blatant lies I'm afraid. After asking if delivery was an option, I asked if we were able to order from the regular menu and was told yes right away. This time on the phone was actually the second time I asked the question (I asked again to clarify), earlier that day my husband I are were taking a walk down the street and we stopped to look at the menu posted outside of the restaurant. We were delighted when the owner came up and introduced himself. We asked him then if we could order off of the regular menu for dinner, and he told us yes. Meeting him was what made us decide to have dinner here. Another thing to mention, we had ordered a half rack of ribs, and received a full and was charged for it (the reason we chose a half in the first place was due to the cost). Just another mistake made by the restaurant. And in response to why my credit card was kept, it still doesn't explain why it wasn't charged right away as I was led to believe. In regards to the delivery driver, he had my number which I intentionally left in case there were any issues (I had to ask the young lad who took my order to write down my number as he didn't ask for it).By the response I received that was filled excuses and falsehoods I am even more disappointed. I hope that the service can be worked on once the restaurant opens again, because there is good food, the owner himself seems great, and it looks like a cute place to dine-in.

Incredible meals and exceptional service were enjoyed by my husband and I at The Lake House of Bayfield. We will definitely be regulars at this beautiful establishment! The indoor dining room is intimate and welcoming while the back garden dining area is beautiful and lush with nature. Gorgeous dining choices!

The food and service were both excellent! Very fresh and handmade from the pasta and the fish to the burgers. Presentation on every dish was great! The ambiance was very welcoming. Well worth the price!!
