LA PLACE RENDEZ-VOUS

I was given a room that needs some serious renovation, unfortunately. Staff at 10/10. Room 2/10, I guess it depends on how lucky you are. The one I was given, really old and smells, washrooms are miserable. Can't comment on the food. The place needs some attention.

We recently held our daughter’s baby shower in the banquet room . Diane Gibson and staff did an amazing job with the setup and service . We found Diane very approachable ,helpful and interested in the success of the event .She kept in touch with me throughout the planning process to make sure everything would be to our liking . The guests enjoyed the food ( wraps,fruit,veggies, dainties ) and the ambiance. Very pleased with how event turned out . Thanks to Diane and the staff.

Staff - 10/10 (very helpful, try to resolve things as fast as possible) Food -8/10 (Great food, small portions) Room - depends, older rooms 3/10, newer rooms 5/10. We first got put in an older room, it smelt like an old room, and it had mold in the AC unit, Staff was quick to fix this issue and we got an upgrade to a newer room (no charge). The new room, while it looked nice, AC unit wasn't very good (not a big issue but was uncomfortable at night. The door to the washroom looked nice it was a sliding barn door, but it was about half an inch off the wall so the privacy was very minimal while using the toilet. We went out for a couple hours after getting the new room, we came back and out door wasn't working, the staff thought it was the battery so we went to the bar and waited for about 2 hours before they got our room open, we were then told they couldn't fix the batteries until the following day so if we left our room we would have to keep it open with the lock so it didn't shut so we didn't get locked out again. The door locked while we were inside so we had security at night. The next day we found out it wasnt the battery in the door, it was the whole lock mechanism. We had to wait till later that day to get our door fixed so still has to leave it propped open when we left. It got fixed early afternoon, we got back and the keys they gave us didn't work, so locked out again, they had to use the physical key just to open it. Anyways at first we didn't get any discount when checking out, so I brought up jokingly so we get a locked out of room discount and we got 47$ off, we spent more then that waiting in the bar for our room to be opened so ?‍♂️ Won't be staying there again. Staff was very friendly but hotel itself was not worth the price. Maybe some upgrades and maintenance done throughout the building and it'll be worth it, the way it is I'd say tops 100$ CAN a night

Have been there with family ,and every thing was very good the restaraunt has top class delicious food the views are faboulous very close to cross country ski trails snowmobile trails on the lake.Friendly staff corteous great place to stay !

A dangerous man works here. They know about what he has done to a family. They know that he is currently endangering a woman and her children. Shame! I won't stop exposing these facts.

Nice place, nice staff and right on the water. We are at the restaurant the food was good. But we waited almost an hour for our mains. That's why I have the service 3 stars.

I have never stayed at a more personable hotel in my life. The staff including the chefs were incredibly nice and generous. The woman at the front desk is a Saint

Our stay was a group booking at the end of April. Diane Gibson, the hotel's Events Coordinator, was a pleasure to work with both in the month(s) leading up to our event as well as onsite during the event. And receptive and accommodating when our schedule changed :) Great food and rooms. The restaurant had a lovely view of the lake. Kudos to the staff!
