Here is a company that should kmow its marlet. They have a booth at the boatshow (which is aimed at buyers), yet when a buyer goes to them to get a job done, they talk the talk but don't walk the walk.I called them up to get a price on a custom enclosure on my Ranger Tug R31. They promised to be there in a week. It was two weeks before they arrived to check out the boat and discuss what we wanted. Then the owner promised within 10 days he'd be back to do a proper measure. It took a month. The day he measured, he promised a price that afternoon (a Friday) or Monday at the latest. Two weeks later I called because I still hadn't seen a price. They finally sent it over, and it was reasonable, so I asked when the job would be started and finished. Not only could they not give me a finish date, they told me that if one of their dealers came in my job would be put on hold. As a business owner myself, I told him I needed some solid date that the job would be guaranteed complete. Not only did they not give me such a date, they refused to respond at all. This company does not care about private clients at all. The owner is also very arrogant, and condescending if you make any potentially negative comment Stay far away from La Fabrica Marine

My experience with this company is absolutely terrible. When emailing the owner, he takes days to respond and when he does he doesnt even answer the original questions. I had specifically asked for certain fabric and William (the owner) told me I had to pay %50 deposit before he will order. I send my boyfriend in to pay the deposit and the guy at the front desk refuses the deposit saying he will just put the order through. Three days later William calls me and says he wont make the order without the deposit! I told him what happened with my boyfriend and his staff refused my boyfriend deposit and he didn't care, didn't apologize, he just said, we prefer not to work with retail clients. William doesn't take responsibility for his staff and training them properly. Dont work with these people - there are so many other fabric businesses you can support!

Let me be clear, I DO NOT recommend La Fabrica or Roberto. Dealing with them was one of the worst marine service experiences in my life. I took my boat cover to them for cleaning/repair. Roberto seemed amicable, but it was clearly a dis organized and poorly run place. I had had a recommendation to go there so I proceeded. Roberto would not give an estimate. A vague price was alluded to. He did have it ready on the date promised, and it was clean, however, on first inspection it did not look good. There were elastics all around the bottom edge that were old, stretched and broken when I brought it in. I had pointed these out to him. On first glance at pick up, none of these had been replaced. I pointed it out and he shrugged it off saying he 'missed that'. The sewing on the repairs was sloppy. OK, I thought, it's clean, I'll do the elastics myself. I asked for my bill. It was OUTRAGEOUS! Almost $3,000! I could have had a new cover made from scratch for $7,000. When I questioned this bill Roberto became very defensive. Most of it was for hours soaking in their cleaning tank. Really?! Only six hours of claimed sewing. Even at $100/hr for sewing that's only $600. I had been expecting something like $750-$1000. Roberto became more indignant as I pointed out that for this outrageous bill he had not even managed to replace the obviously worn elastics. The cover was not folded neatly, just kind of piled up. No customer service. Only after leaving did I read his reviews. Bad. I strongly suggest you take your marine canvas business elsewhere.

We had an eyebrow and back slope installed on our boat last year. These guys did an incredible job, on time and reasonably priced. Just had them replace our foam padding around the cockpit this season and again - super job and would certainly recommend them to anyone. Nice people to do business with.

La Fabrica, in our opinion, does the finest of work on boat enclosures, dodgers, Bimini canvas and windows. They did the original work on our Hunter 45 CC in 2008 and we just had them clean the canvas, replace the windows, and any snaps or areas that needed attention. Though we live in Victoria, no one locally can hold a candle to what La Fabrica can create, customize and install. The attention to detail is excellent. A huge thanks to Roberto and William for an exceptional job. Awesome to deal with, professional and courteous. Sincerely, Cheryl and Ted Smith

Roberto and William are not only really nice to work with but they do an amazing quality work. Definitely the best in vancouver and recommended by all the local brokers.
