★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely little poutine shop. Just went with the original poutine. I love the over done fries, cause you need it to stand up to the sauce. And there is a generous helping of curds and the sauce is fantastic. The owner is super friendly too! There is standing tables and the place is tight, but usually get these to go. Also note don't park in the parking lot right beside it, the business that owns it does not tolerate it sadly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Belle Patate is the best poutine place I've visited in BC! The poutine is consistently good and the prices are unbeatable. On top of that the service is always top notch. To anyone visiting I highly recommend trying the spruce beer. Cheers! ???

I honestly get the Bell special each and every time which is basically a Philly cheese steak poutine. BOMB

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being that I just moved from Quebec, I was legitimately excited to try what had been touted as the best poutine place in Vic.
However, the main fella running the cash and taking orders (larger, bearded, black stud earrings) needs a hug- big time. That was easily the worse customer service I've ever experienced. He had so much attitude, and never directly answered my questions about the food. Instead, he opted to silently point at things, and mock me in front of other customers.
I'll likely give them a second chance, since poutine gravy is in my blood, but I, in total sincerity, hope this guy was just having a bad day and that I was the unlucky target for his lack of emotional control.
Otherwise, if that was his true nature, I hope his kids (if he has some?) can acquire a better role model in their lives. Yikes.

With squeeky fresh cheese curds, hand cut potatoes and the right sauce, this is hands down the best poutine I've ever eaten outside of Québec. Real steamies too!!!
For years I lived around the corner from the famous Mtl Pool Room - la patate; je connais ça - La Belle Patate is worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The perfect size, well priced and absolutely authentic! From the gravy soaked fries just perfectly and the best cheese curds, if I closed my eyes, I’d swear I was in Quebec back home in Montreal. The steamies are authentically Lesters dogs and the steamed bun and toppings were delicious.
Well done is an understatement. Delicious! Loved it. My problem will be to refrain from eating here daily.
