I went to La Berrierr Park on a warm overcast day. The park now has a disc golf course which is a new addition since my last visit. There are great trails to explore here!

Easily accessible, ample parking space, toilets open year around, La Barriere Park provides a nice network of trails sheltered by trees along the La Salle River.

Great space and trails along the river. Thick Forrest within close reach to city. Park available if you want to play a game of soccer or cricket. Places for BBQ as well..

Park is really nice. Lots of spots for fishing along the banks. Lots of people paddling along the river in canoes and kayaks. They have disc golf course along the trails, which are nicely maintained, but the mixture of flying disc's and people walking is troublesome. The washrooms are nice and new, tons of parking and garbage cans.

Lots of really beautiful trails to wander. Tons of other outdoor activities such as baseball diamonds, soccer fields, Disc Golf, Canoeing and Kayaking from the newer boat launch.

La Barriere Park is a winter wonderland! Beautiful park South of the city down Waverley into the RM of Ritchot. Having gone in January we witnessed people dog walking, hiking, sledding, cross country skiing, learning to snowboard and ski, playing disc golf, snowmobiling, skating and ice fishing. Areas on the river for skating were cleared and paths for cross country skiing were well groomed in most places on the river. Such a beautiful place to enjoy winter in Manitoba. Be prepared to walk a fair distance if you park on the road on a busy day and dress accordingly.
