This was a great venue for a birthday party! 8 and 9 year old girls love horses and what could be better than celebrating your birthday riding and grooming these beautiful horses. Very helpful and friendly staff made our experience one to remember. Thank you Sagehill stables

Gwen who manages and runs the barn is absolutely amazing and does her best to make sure the horses on the property are well taken care of. She will go above and beyond for the horses in her care. Her husband Casey who keeps up the maintenance of the barn comes off as a nice guy at first but you learn pretty quickly he has a short temper and likes to yell at his clients and staff. He has even gone as far as yelling at his own wife with clients standing nearby. He is misogynistic, especially around young women and has a self-righteous attitude. He has shown a lack of safety for others when he had shown up to the stable, high out of his mind on a Saturday morning when there were several children's lessons happening. If an incident had arisen with a horse or a horse got spooked and got loose while in the barn I can only imagine what would have happened.

I had booked a Pony Party for 12 kids aged 3-8 and had no idea what to expect. Sagehill stables far exceeded my expectations. The kids all got to ride 3 different horses and it was well organized. It had been -25c that day and with the wind it was supposed to be -35c, but inside the horse corral area it was quite comfortable(about 0c) as Sagehill had reminded us to wear warm outerwear. I loved the party and will likely be back in April for my younger daughters birthday.

Very nice beautiful place, but the owner and the Trainer do not care about you or your children's safety, just watched one girl get stomped on multiple times in our last class. Then my daughter was placed on a horse that they all are very well aware that she was not comfortable on rather than the same horse she rode for 8 classes and she was thrown from her horse. Now my 9 year old who loves loves horses says she's she scared of them.

This place has an extremely toxic environment to it, from the property owner, to management and all the way to their regular staff. There is constant bullying and gossiping about their clients and lesson students. It has been brought up several times to management and nothing is ever done. They claim to be about empowering woman and young girls with all the special classes they have but that remains to be seen from the way they talk about people when they think no one is around.

My son is attending June day camps and loving them. He is in love with their horses and enjoying every time he goes. As a parent, the people there are very friendly with us and our child, and they are also taking great care to ensure both animals and humans are being kept safe as we gradually re-open programming in our province. I feel comfortable and confident allowing my son to attend and know that he is in good hands and having a lot of fun.

Wonderful parent and tot riding lessons that actually teach young children riding fundamentals.

Sagehill Stables is an excellent place. I returned to riding after approximately 15 years away from the sport and Sagehill Stables has been extremely welcoming and inclusive, especially as a slightly larger adult rider, which had been a fear of mine. The school horses seem to be well cared for and the facility is gorgeous. The coaches and staff are top notch. Highly recommend this place, whether it’s a Healing Beyond Words session, or you are looking to learn to ride or get back into it after an extended hiatus.
