Kyle keeps the workouts challenging enough that I can feel the workouts the next day but not so sore that I have difficulty moving. I have fun while simultaneously cursing him during the workout but I can't deny the results. I'm lighter and stronger than I have been in 20 years and I'm confident that I can keep up with my kids now.

As someone who doesn't post many reviews, I try and save them for goods/services that have made a real difference in my life. Kyle is perhaps one of the most important services that I've used. Professional, smart, relatable and down to earth, I didn't know that this was what having a personal trainer was. But what has kept me coming back for over two years is the fact that I'm improving in a way that I couldn't do alone. It was hard to admit that to myself, but now one year after my second back surgery I realize he has helped me set and exceed more goals than I ever previously had the mind for. So thanks Kyle for helping push me to strengthen my weaknesses with your creative workouts, great attitude and your hot science facts of the day you tell me while I'm halfway through the sweatiest set of the day. Oh, and also for not sweat shaming. I'm sweating typing this out. We gotta work on this.

I hate Kyle. (But actually think he's great, I just resent the fact that he managed to get me to like working out.) I've never wanted to go to the gym because I'd rather get exercise outside on my bike or in the forest. But carrying my kid for 3 years began to take its toll on my shoulders, Doc said I had to strengthen them. And then I found Kyle. He helped me set some fitness goals, and learned about what I like and don't like. After our first session I begrudgingly admitted that I enjoyed it. It was clear he put a ton of effort into making sure I enjoyed the exercises he had chosen. And I did. I'm stronger, my posture is better and I can play outdoors better than ever. Thanks Kyle.

I’ve been training with Kyle twice a week since August, 2017 and he has consistently proven himself to be professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, adaptable and supportive. I have seen amazing results and learned a lot, and our workouts continue to be the high points of my week! Making initial contact with Kyle (via email) was easy and he responded very quickly. We were able to set up our first meeting within 24 hours and began working out very shortly after that. The first meeting was an assessment with a sit down discussion during which Kyle clarified my goals, assessed my physical fitness and provided answers to all of my questions and concerns. He also told me about himself and his background and he gave me a tour of the gym. Prior to working out with Kyle I didn’t have much gym experience especially when it came to weight training. I knew how to work with the aerobic equipment but that was pretty much the extent of my experience. Over the last eight months my knowledge has grown exponentially. I feel very confident that I could now use all aspects of a gym on my own. This is definitely a direct result of working out with Kyle. He’s shown me a lot of different ways to effectively and safely use a myriad of equipment including the free weights, the weight bench and the TRX system as well as multiple weight machines, the squat rack and the trap bar for dead lifting. In addition to him showing me how to use the equipment he has also been a great resource in helping me to understand the etiquette of a gym. Kyle puts a lot of thought into the routines he develops for me. The workouts are challenging but fun and always in support of my ultimate goal. He started me off with exercises suitable to my level of experience and capability while taking into account my strengths, weaknesses and goal. He then steadily built on my progress by adding new exercises and heavier weights. This approach has worked very well for me and I continue to see amazing results! To keep me safe and reduce the possibility of injury Kyle has taught me proper form and continually insists upon it. He watches for any issues and will immediately correct me when I’m off. This style of repetitive correction is greatly appreciated as correct form has now become second nature to me. That being said, I know Kyle still keeps his eye on it. Kyle changes my workout routine every four to six weeks. This keep things interesting and my progress steady. It also allows him the opportunity to target weaknesses that he has taken note of and effectively work on correcting them. There have been a couple of occasions over the last few months where I did develop some minor aches/pains/injuries that without Kyle might have negatively affected my progress and caused me to avoid doing some exercises and/or to have quit all together. Kyle showed his ability to adapt and his creativity by coming up with other exercises for me to do that didn’t exacerbate the injuries but still managed to provide me with noticeable progress towards my ultimate goal. Kyle continuously encourages me to keep him updated on how I’m feeling so if necessary he can adjust my workouts appropriately. Working out with Kyle continues to be a incredibly rewarding experience. His knowledge, enthusiasm, adaptability, and encouragement have been invaluable to me. We’ve taken small, consistent steps every time we’ve worked out and over time those small steps have delivered incredible results. It’s not been easy by any means but the results are well worth all the effort I’ve had to put in. I’m much stronger and more powerful than I have ever been and I continue to see gains every week. I strongly believe that anyone looking for a professional and knowledgeable trainer, especially one who can teach you how to lift weights safely and effectively, will be well served by seeking out Kyle and his services. As I near my goal I have already started to think of new ones and I’m really looking forward to working with Kyle to achieve them!

Kyle Lane is a fantastic personal trainer. Methodical with how he creates your workout programs, always evolving and challenging you to be your best. Positive and supportive attitude. Really enjoyed my workouts with him.

Kyle is a fantastic personal trainer, who has made an enormous impact on my life. He personalizes each workout to your specific needs, and the works outs always change after about a month, which keeps it refreshing. As someone who was very afraid of going into a gym, he truly gave me the confidence to grow out of those fears. Kyle also gives me so much knowledge on each workout I do, which contributed to my fears going away and my confidence growing. I would recommend Kyle to anyone who is looking for personal training.

This is a review for Kyle Lane, personal trainer in Vancouver. I have been training with Kyle twice a week for 6-months and I am very impressed with his variety, knowledge and enthusiasm. Kyle’s workouts are challenging but still within my comfort zone. Kyle listened to my aspirations and tailored a workout routine to help me achieve my goals of injury prevention, sport preparation, conditioning and overall strength training. I feel more confident, my clothes fit better, I’m enjoying sports, I have been working out on a regular basis and I even lost weight! As a Chiropractor, I appreciate Kyle's knowledge and confidence of personal training. Kyle is not intimidating, he’s the exact opposite, he communicates very well and I understand the rational of his workout routines. I can comfortably say I would refer my patients to Kyle. Kyle became my personal trainer a few months ago. From day one, I knew that Kyle was very passionate about helping me achieve my goals. He keeps track of my progress and is always very encouraging. Kyle makes sense of the movements in the gym that apply not only to my athletic goals but to my daily life routine. Kyle continually keeps me in the loop about my progress and motivates me to do my best. He’s well informed about all the different techniques that work and don’t work and his experience will definitely show in your results. He personalizes each work out to keep you (and your core) engaged. He has really helped me build my confidence at the gym. I used to feel very intimidated by the equipment and now because of Kyle I can lift and train effectively and most importantly safely.
