Come here for divine baked goods! I keep coming back for these treats because they're unique and just the imagination and heart that goes into all the creations is unbelievable. I'm a die hard fan here! Update: 6 months since I first had my first white rabbit cookie. Still coming semi-regularly. Tip: if you want lots of cookies, pre-order ahead of time. It's so good and when the craving strikes I'm hopping over to Wonderland! ? New: Try the mother gawwd!! Soo good!

The Silver sky drink is mesmerizing...Creamy, strong and sweet. The golden fog is quite sweet, but very flavourful and packed with juicy goodness. The secret garden Kouign Amann is a charming amalgamation of sweet, spicy, flaky, chewy tastiness. I love how inventive these menu items are, you will be charmed by the care and attention put into each confection and drink.

Back in December I took a chilly rainy walk down to Chinatown to check out the many amazing and unique stores and restaurants. This one is really a step above the rest with their expertly crafted desserts and sandwiches. I remember getting a tea egg sandwich and a delicious pastry which was perfect to warm my soul for the rest of the day. Their pastries are made and packaged so beautifully, they would even make great gifts for your friends. Can't wait to go back!

Made my first order through Uber eats. The pastries were very good in general. Wasn’t expecting too much from the Ube bread pudding, but I couldn’t stop scooping until I finished the entire piece-I love it! The special birthday piece has interesting flavour and texture combinations which I highly appreciated. The hidden mochi-like component was definitely the highlight of the piece. My only complaint was that the famous cookie was lacking a bit on the flavour. I love chocolate chip cookies and I tried many cookies, so I had high expectations for this one, but the performance was a bit mediocre. But I love this place, their savoury items were delicious!

A bit of a letdown because I had such high expectations from the reviews, website description, and presentation. Definitely very unique and creative treats, but more catered to a western palate as they were very rich and heavy. Even though the owner claimed many people don’t find the cookies sweet enough, me and my friend found the Ube one (dark moon) to be way too sweet. The carrot thingy was good but also quite sweet and oily. I was super excited about the treasure chest and although it was good, it was way too salty. Also could not finish half because it was so buttery. Maybe I should’ve came hungry and not post brunch ? Again, nothing wrong with the treats - they’re amazing and very unique. But although they have Asian elements in them, they’re still rich and heavy like western treats. If you can handle brownies and regular kouign amann, you will definitely love these. I was just disappointed because I thought they’d be more light and subtle like traditional Asian treats. Nevertheless, still enjoyed finding out about this place and the owner is a super cool guy ?

When you spot this white rabbit, don't hesitate to follow it to a wonderland filled with the most inventive treats! Andrew Han is an absolute mastermind who displays his mad genius in flavour combinations I've never experienced anywhere else. It's a joy to hear him speak passionately about his creations and an even bigger one to taste them. I tried 2 Kouign Amann pastries and 2 cookies. Both the Kouign Amann pastries had the most crispy but pillowy caramelized crust with beautiful layers, it was an amazing texture (please try these on the day you get them for the best crunch). The Treasure Chest was a flavourful experience of herbs, seasoned shitake mushrooms and these crunchy potato pieces. The Spice Girl had a chewy mochi centre and the most delicious cream cheese icing that was just the right amount of sweet. You know when something is so good that you can't bear to finish it because you don't want it to be gone? That was me with the cookies. They retained their amazing chewy interior and crunchy exterior during the few days that I nibbled away at them. The Dark Moon was a perfect blend of white chocolate, ube and a kick of sea salt (the ube jam was delicious and I wish the cookie was slathered in it even if that's not as aesthetic haha). The Lunch Box was the biggest surprise. What a beautiful and well-rounded culinary experience. You get the crunch of actual peanuts and that slightly sweet peanut butter taste, followed by notes of sweet pork floss, nori, sausage and a subtle hit of spiciness. Other than the food itself, the service was warm and prices are fair for the work that goes into everything. The interior is clean and more spacious than I expected. I hope to stop by to dine in one day and try their drinks. Overall, I'm honestly blown away by the thought that went into creating these flavour combinations and the meticulousness that goes into producing them. I'd gladly take another trip to this wonderland!

I am beyond words after trying this place for the first time today. Kouign far exceeded any expectations that I had of this humble bakery. I ordered one each of the only two sandwiches that they had on the menu, as well as The Kouign's Order, because of course I had to try everything. I was blown away by the flavours in each of the sandos. They were elevated versions of an egg salad and chicken salad sando on their signature black sesame sourdough baguette. Truly unique taste that is an explosion of flavour in every bite. Read the description on their website and you will see the strange ingredients that come together to make for a fabulous sando filling. Another must try is The Pot of Gold and The Treasure Chest. These two are amazing flaky pastries with well balanced sweet and savory flavours. After trying these decadent treats, trying the plain black sesame baguette was almost anticlimactic, however, we were pleasantly surprised at how good and fresh it was with the accompanying understated miso butter. The Purple Rain and Nutcracker are denser baked goods. The Un-Birthday Kouign was cool with the mochi in the middle. The Princess was a nice sweet treat. The Lunch Box (peanut butter cookie) and The Noodle Farm (oatmeal and chocolate chip cookie) had a funky mix of sweet and savory. The White Rabbit was underwhelming. Overall, their savory selection is to die for. You can taste the heart and soul that went into each menu item. To bring such exotic flavours into each one is just short of genius. Attention to detail and presentation is 10/10 (there are gold flakes on some of their items). The cafe is bare bones, you're not here for the ambiance. The menu appears limited, but the quality of what they do have far outweigh the need for any more items on the menu. I would be back to enjoy these delicious creations; it is definitely worth the long drive to Chinatown to grab some of these goods.

Wow. Wow. Wow. The BEST pastries I've had. A must come, local or tourist. The uniqueness of the flavors combined with the friendly service will add so much to your day. A nice plus that it's really close to some attractions to see afterward. There is something for everyone here. Though there are only a few items at a time they are so different that there's great variety. The treasure chest is a MUST. Wow it was so exquisite. The flavors of this were such a hit for me. However, all the items were delicious and designed with such care: they had unique flavours and textures, great balance, and visually appetizing. The owner is super friendly and happy to talk about the pastries. Seeing his joy and dedication makes the experience even better. Don't pass up a drink as well! They were super fun. I'll lastly add that everything was worth the price (and imo, not even that expensive). I'm normally scared to hype a place up and raise the bar too high but am confident kouijn will live up to it. One last thing - many Asian inspired foods:).
