The quality of her baking is superb, but it is her unique creations and flavour combinations that really make her stand out among bakers. Her baking tastes exotic and yet familiar all at the same time. We love bringing home a box and discussing all the different textures and flavours as we nibble our way through her latest baked goods.

Their incredible baked goods are clearly made with quality ingredients, consistently satisfying my sweet and savoury tooth! I love the variety they offer; introducing us to new delicacies as well as offering us many tried and true staples. Their customer service is also second to none. Every interaction I have had with Alex (the lovely and oh-so-talented owner) has been so enjoyable. She always takes the time to ensure her customers are as happy and satisfied as possible. It is so clear she takes great pride in her craft, which shines through in all that she produces!

It's the perfect start to a Sunday. Her seasonal choices create new flavour combos and are always delicious. Her pastry is incredibly flaky and we're constantly picking new 'favourites'. It’s like finding out you can have a little piece of Heaven brought to your house every Sunday morning. I mean, how could you turn that down? Alex keeps the menu fresh, so there’s always something different, and the balance between sweet and savoury pastries is absolutely perfect! For a tiny delivery fee, Kitchen Island will deliver pastries and treats to your door, along with other great products from other small businesses (coffee, tahini, sausages, etc) that you can add on to your order. During the pandemic, treats are all we have! And our keenness for treats is what keeps small businesses like Kitchen Island going. So shop small, shop often and share the love!

I adore the cinnamon twists! The bagel bombs are magnificent! And the sausage pies…. and everything!!! It’s all amazing! But she also makes fabulous bread- my new personal fave is the multigrain whole wheat bread! It makes the best toast ever!! And the challah bread is so buttery and melts in your mouth- it’s also wonderful for bread puddings and stuffings! I can’t say enough good things about Alex herself and Kitchen Island! Support local, small businesses and make someone’s dreams come true! Ps. Great gift idea or for a special occasion.

I love that there are a variety of flavours and textures every week. Savoury and sweet pastries make the perfect Sunday brunch treat. I would highly recommend if you love delicious things!

The flaky sausage pastry is my wife's favorite, it melts in your mouth. Her support of other local business is also awesome, we have been able to try and enjoy a few new items made here in Hamilton to discover something I never thought I would enjoy (kombucha!). You know it's going to be a better morning when that box gets dropped off.
