One of the top japanese tapas restaurants in Vancouver. The quality is top notch and service is great. The prices are slightly on the higher side but you are really paying for the quality and uniqueness of the foods offered here. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area. Lots of seating however this place is typically full, make sure you call ahead of time and make reservations.

We got the tataki, croquettes, cauliflower karaage, unagi stone bowl rice, kimchi tomato, black sesame panna cotta, almond tofu, strawberry soda, and grilled fish set. My favorites were the unagi rice, panna cotta, cauliflower, and kimchi tomato. The grilled fish was a bit dry, and the strawberry soda was okay. Overall a delicious meal!

My mouth is watering as I write this review just remembering how amazingly tasty all the food was!! Our favorites were definately the Uni & O-Toro Bowl, Takowasabe, Kobe Beef Uni Cream Sauce Udon Noodle and Omakase! The fish, and all ingredients, were so fresh! Service was also excellent. Will definately be back next time we are in Vancouver!!

In case you are wondering what Kingyo means, it means goldfish. Their logo kinda speaks for itself. We made a reservation for late snack, as we were only there for drinks and couple of rock cooking beef tongues. Their sakes were always my go-to. Their beef tongue and chicken are pretty awesome!

Superb experience and delicious food, must come back! There are so many things in the menu that I would like to try out. Must order the stone grill Kobe beef, it’s fun experience to grill the beef in hot stone. The aroma while you grill makes you wanted to even more. Also we ordered Kobe Beef & Otoro Bowl, again excellent Kobe beef, the otoro is also superb.

Great food and service Overall, especially the hot stone beef is a must try! The grapefruit cocktail is special too as you need to squeeze a whole fresh grapefruit yourself, that's like two drinks already. We Ordered sashimi, fried rice and pressed avocado sushi, All tasty?? Good dating spot! BTW, The bamboos are fake, actually thought they were real ?

We were seated promptly due to having a reservation. The staff were friendly and quick with their service. The food was delicious! The stone grilled Kobe is a must (we ended up ordering 2), the tan-tan noodles is also an amazing dish. The pork cheek wasn’t so memorable but we would love to come back and try more food.
