About Kids@ Churchill Park Child Care Calgary
Kids@ Churchill Park is a non-profit Calgary child care and family support agency providing quality child care and early learning opportunities to children of Calgary families. We have been both pioneers and leaders in this field for 50 years.
Our programs include community-, corporate- and school-based child care centres plus several dozen Calgary family day homes. We care for children from young infants to school age.
As a non-profit charitable agency, our mandate is to provide help over profiting. We support family life, healthy child development, and early learning, offering a broad program of care and rich, play-based learning opportunities to help working parents with the challenges of raising healthy children.
Kids@ Churchill Park is fully licensed and accredited. We work hard to exceed provincial standards in all areas, investing in quality programs and services. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our child has been going to PlayPenn, (run by Churchill Park), for 4 yrs, since she was 12 months old. The staff was incredibly supportive through transition, giving us an extra week to drop her off a few hours at a time so she could adjust to her new environment. I love their use of the Hi Mama App, that gives us daily reports, occasional updates throughout the day, and pictures so we can stay in the loop on what she's learning, favorite activities, naptimes and meals. In each new class, they take great care in transitioning kids, so they get used to new caregivers and new friends. They have an amazing enclosed outdoor playground that has lots of different activities for kids to explore and encourage learning through loose parts play and natural elements. Our daughter looks forward to daycare every day and speaks affectionately of her educators. They offer an in-house preschool curriculum, and we were especially impressed when our child proudly started counting in Spanish at 3 yrs old! In addition to a great level of care, we feel like she will have a great head start when it's time to start school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot possibly express the full extent of my gratitude for this daycare centre and the wonderful group that runs it. It was always clean, safe and efficiently run, but just as much if not more importantly it was always filled with so much love and joy. The care takers are such a positive, cohesive group that work so well together, and they truly do love all the kids that come into their care. I always felt that my kids were in the very best hands they could be outside of my own and I'll always be so grateful I found such a wonderful place for them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Churchill Park daycare near Riley Park has been outstanding with our little human being. He is treated like family, grows and learns so much from the staff, and genuinely loves to be there. We leave him there daily without feeling an ounce of guilt! I would highly recommended this daycare for anyone in the area needing child care. The staff are top notch and friendly! The only sad part is they only take kids up to 2 years old! I would love to leave our guy here longer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Kids at Churchill Park Sunridge location. As a first time parent, it was a hard decision to enroll our son in a daycare. We were fortunate to find this new location and be part of the first generation of kids at the centre.
The educators are so lovely and I can really tell that my son is comfortable and at ease around them. Every morning I leave him there knowing that he is in good hands. One of my favorite things is to receive updates during the day as of what he is up to. They plan the kids' days with different activities that are age appropriate and feed them in-house prepared food and he is exposed to different tastes of the world, which I believe is a great experience.
I would most definitely recommend this daycare to anyone and to all the educators and staff reading this review, a heartfelt thank you for everything that you do!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son went to more than 3 different daycares in the past. To be honest, this is the first time I feel comfortable and truly happy that he goes to a daycare! The place is very clean, organized, and safe for the kids. I like how they keep the parents updated of everything through the phone app everyday. They let the kids explore and learn through the daily indoor and outdoor activities. I have met with the teachers and the manager many times and they were very patient, well educated, and experts in their job. My son loves his teachers and friends A LOT!! he keep saying their names and gets so excited in the morning! It has been less than 6 months since my son started at this daycare, and I can see the huge improvements in his language, communication, motor skills, and behavior. It is the best place for your child to stay in. Highly recommend for sure!

We drop her off in the morning and know that she will be treated like family; loved and nurtured and happy. We receive photos daily of our little ones and their walks in the park, their gym time, water play, and for my husband and I, it helps us get through our days at work. Her educators are always so positive and engaged and you can feel their love for all the children they care for every day. Having moved from a different province, I am so grateful every single day that we found this daycare for her and that she is safe and happy. Thank you, Discover Y team, for being so incredibly amazing to our babies and allowing us to have complete trust in you all.
