Khrome Nail Bar - Edmonton

The ladies at Khrome have GOT YOU COVERED! I recently got a pedicure & it was so wonderful, relaxing, and the esthetician was so detail orientated! I would HIGHLY recommend checking this place out - I mean who doesn't love having a pretty drink while treating yourself?

I have been going to Khrome since it opened. Their service is inconsistent at best. I kept going because of the location and the staff was nice. In the last year things have gone downhill. The last three times I’ve gone I had the same guy do my nails. He was so incredibly rude that one of the people on staff had to apologize for his behaviour on his behalf. He doesn’t talk or provide answers to questions. I asked him about trends and he said “SIGH…. I don’t know” then I asked for a drink and he ignored me. Finally one of the other staffers came by and I was able able to order drinks for me and my friends. Then he yelled at me to “STOP MOVING” and my friend was watching and said I didn’t even move. I get that being still is important but you don’t speak to customers in that tone. I couldn’t wait to get outa there, the complete opposite reaction you want. I thought maybe it was an off day, we all have them. Then the other two times I had him it was the exact same experience. My expectation at a nail salon is for them to greet me with a hello, offer advice on nail trends and kindness. That isn’t what happened all three times. Booking nightmare: My last two appointments were cancelled last minute due to covid. Which was fine but then my replacement appointment went missing in their calendar. They offered a discount which was nice but booking can be a nightmare. I ended up waiting months to get in. Such a headache. Nail quality: I have had to get my nails fixed twice since I started going. Once the pedicure i received didn’t set properly and the gel smudged on the way home. It took them weeks to respond to my emails and pictures showing the problems. The second time I had a nail break 15 minutes after my appointment. It wasn’t put on correctly and again took weeks to book in an appointment to fix it. When they finally did fix it, it didn’t match the other nails. After all that I kept going because I felt like everyone had bad days. Recently going and receiving the rude service was the last straw. You pay a premium for customer service. When you don’t receive that it’s not worth the time or money. Now I am moving on, please think twice before booking here. Note: Khrome never did follow up with me nor did a manager call me. AWful!

Booked in for a bridal party, was very disappointed with the lack of customer service, overall upkeep of the salon, and the overpricing. Upon arrival, abruptly told we were paying for a service because we booked in for it although it was no longer needed, which is understandable we forgot to update a guests services, but instead of pulling the organizer aside and politely and quietly discussing, the woman at the front aggressively went on to make a scene in front of the party, completely ruining the vibe of the gathering. When one of the girls wanted to update their service was once again rudely told no, I get there are time constraints... but no need to be rude....on top of the rude service, the salon while cute was dated and didn't seem all too sanitary, chairs for pedis all had broken jets, to which we told have been broken for a while and never repaired....brushes, surfaces didn't look clean, pricing was not posted anywhere, most of us paid 160 and up for shellac mani and pedi. The whole drink service is a bit of a joke as well.... tiny corner in back with a makeshift bar. In regard to the services I directly recieved, I had a gentleman provide my services he was not too friendly, barely said 2 words and also proceeded to cut me several times during my mani and pedi...oh and one of my nails peeled same day... overall would not return or recommend.... you're better off going to your regular neighborhood salon and going for a drink after

I had a gentleman do my pedicure and it was definitely one of the worst pedicures I’ve had. It was so insanely rushed. He hardly paid attention to me and seemed annoyed the whole time. The gel did not set properly and began peeing off the next day. Not worth the 70$.

Did not feel welcome, Nail artist barely said a word to me the whole time, spent my appointment loudly chatting with her coworkers even stopped doing my nails to chat with them, ignored me to the point she actually made me bleed but didn't acknowledge it, felt so intimidated by staff I didnt say anything and didn't even get the nails that I wanted. Will never patronize this place again. Overall, very unprofessional, felt like I was on the outside of a clique in high school.

Should have read the reviews before booking here.. when I found this place through a google search I liked the fact that you can order a cocktail while getting your nails done. As a new mom of a 3 month old I needed a break. This was probably one of the worst nail salons I’ve been to and left feeling like I wasted my money and my time. It is run down, the pedicure chairs were falling apart, the jets didn’t work. My nail tech barely said 2 words to me and once I got home my nail polish smudged all over the place and now I’m left to do them over myself. She asked me last minute if I even wanted a drink and didn’t offer me anything else once I was finished.The tip option gave you minimum 18 percent option which is way over what she deserved and I was too flustered to remember to do the custom tip option. Save your money, don’t come here.

I love this place! It's like a little escape from the real world. Whether it's a manicure/pedicure or getting my brows tinted and waxed, I leave happy every-time. Plus after a hard work day I can sit an enjoy a cocktail while getting pampered. What's not to love about that! The staff is really kind and down to earth, there's nothing worse than going to a snobby salon/spa. At Khrome everyone is fun and easy going with no pretension. Highly recommend! After I left my last review about being unhappy about this guy asking me for my credit card info and refused to give me an appointment. Ona contact me, that I believe she is the owner. and she did a way easier process for me to book my appointment for my daughter and I. We went for manicure, and after a few days we went back for pedicure. Jennifer and another young girl that I cannot remember her name. They are so friendly and so professionals doing their job. I had lots of fun having a drink while I had my nails ?? done. This is definitely my place that I’m gonna be in once a month on my day off. I loved it. Thank you Ona and Jennifer.
