Our child enjoyed going here. However, we signed our child up, paid $800 and then got less than half back after classes were cancelled due to Covid. She only got 4 or 5 lessons before the shutdown. What a joke. Not impressed.

My 7yr old son had been wanting to try gymnastics for years, I was unsure of what level he should be in so tried callinng to get some assistnce. No one answers phones, so had to communicate thru email. Never would get a straight answer to anything. Red flag #1. A few of my neighbors had shared some issues they had with instructors, like they didn't want to be there and one just would yell at the kids. Red flag #2. Decided to pull out after second class as we were not comfortable not being able to see what was going on, COVID restriction not allowing parents to stay and observe. Paid $872 and only got back $583. Those 2 classes cost me nearly $300 what a scam.

Kips has great instructors but a very miserable owner who is totally not child friendly, set in her ways, and easily irritable. In one instance my 2 year old knocked a 10 lb fire extinguisher that was hung by a clip on the wall off of the clip onto his foot in the upstairs viewing area. She heard it fall and heard my son screaming and came upstairs. I said "maybe it might be a good idea to consider securing these extinguishers better", her response was "maybe you should watch your kids better and have them read a book, or sit down and watch." (My son had two fractured toes, and how am I supposed to keep a 2 year old from roaming around when his sisters have back to back classes which lasts 1.75 hours). Another incident I saw which happened multiple times there were these unsteady benches beside tables (like plastic picnic tables with freestanding benches) and I saw a kid who was sitting playing at the table fall back cause the bench wasnt stable and hit her head on the ground. The parent suggested "maybe something more stable is in order" she replied "this isn't a kids play area, it's a parents viewing area, and if you can't control your kids that's not my problem!" She is a very crotchety woman and has no place in an industry based around children.

My wife and I just drove 1.5 hours for a scheduled assessment with this company for our daughter that is 8 years old. We received confirmation in advance that this company is following all Manitoba government regulations re: covid-19. Upon arriving this sign was at the door as well as staff informing us we could not do the assessment unless my child put a mask on. This is contrary to government mandates and against the World Health Organization guidelines for exercising with a mask on as well. It’s very clear that this is a business decision and they did not convey their special policies to us in advance and wasted our day. I also tried to call and talk to someone, no answer and no voicemail.

Excellent program; my daughter loves her teachers. We wound up with a schedule conflict and they easily accommodated us swapping classes. They have a nice mix of fun and skill development for the kids. Have always been able to get a response to any questions or inquiries I had.

My daughter was with this company for 9 years. The owner was always flighty and never around to ask questions. Communication was always erratic and missing required information. My daughter (15) did not wish to get the suddenly required covid shots as they are still experimental trial shots which have been proven to not work! Or we could pay an additional $40.00 twice a week for her to go and get tested at pharmacy! Instead of standing up for all the children associated with their facility, they are forcing them to provide proof of vaccination to attend, as well as wear a mask so they don't get fined. Highly criminal and abusive!
